On a price for value scale, this is a downer. The place is OK, more like hostel quality, but quite expensive for that. It really needs a good renovation but as that part of the town gets torn down in a few years, nothing will get done. The staff spoke no English whatsoever, quite something for Sweden. The breakfast was... More

I have never been to a place with staff this helpful. Breakfast was more than enough. We woke up late one day past the time of breakfast and the staff re-opened breakfast just for us. Building was warm, showers have hot water with good pressure. Room was very clean. Price was very reasonable.

It's an old place with a friendly staff. Price is rather high for what you get, but compared to your other options in Kiruna it's ok. It looks like it will be pulled down soon, so there is no reason to invest in it.

Old reviews are now outdated since they have moved the railway station as part of the massive planned move of half of the town to accommodate the expansion of iron ore mining. The hotel is thus not on the platform but 1.5 km away from the new station - rooms at the back of the hotel have interesting views across... More

We did not expect to stay in Kiruna but we eventually had to because of terrible train connexions in winter... And that is the good point for this hotel: right in front of the train station ! (Nice relief when you arrive late in the night or have to leave early in the morning) More than that there isn't that... More

This hotel can best be described as rustic, but with the charm that comes with it. First of all, the hotel is in an excellent location if you are arriving / departing Kiruna by train, as it is located literally on the platform, however that said, it is a ten minute uphill walk to the city centre (but good for... Our group was allocated 3 rooms, one was a large "suite" of sorts. The decoration & quality of furniture was around the 1950's (& that was being generous). Bed duvets looked thinner than wood shavings...... The other 2 rooms were small, dark & exceptionally uninviting - think "Porridge" for those of you old enough to know the BBC TV series.... More

We stayed here after staying a night in the IceHotel to de-thaw! It is literally right next to the railroad tracks but we didn't hear any noise. We paid $75 for a tiny little room originally. It would have been worth it. The hotel was almost empty, though, so we asked if there were any rooms that had a queen... More

About a 5-10min walk from the main street in Kiruna (but right on the station platform if coming by train!), this hotel provided a very comfortable respite from the winter conditions! Manager Patrick speaks good english and was very helpful, it had a good continental breakfast included and free internet. We had the suite and if I were you I'd... More

We stayed at this hotel at the start of our adventure to the Ice Hotel. We got in from Kiruna airport late and there was still someone on reception to greet us. The hotel is in Kiruna's oldest building and it has been done nicely. Our first night was spent in a room looking over the railtracks and we slept... More
