I have been to this town couple of times while travelling in the north of Sweden, in our last visit in summer 2006 we stay here at the Scandic Ferrum. It is central located with the standards quality and services of the Scandic hotels around Scandinavia. It was very nice. more

The hotel is not up to the standard of the Choice Clarion hotels, more like some of the older Choice Quality hotels. The room was at an acceptable size, clean and contained what is expected. The restaurant and the breakfast area resembled a former East European business hotel. However, the price – value ration is still pretty good. more

Right in the middle of town. Like a Novotel, Scandinavian-style. Rooms are QUIET with thick doors. Clean, simple, elegant, functional. Breakfast buffet is huge, open for 3 hours, lots of great organics. Front desk helpful and friendly. 24 kiosk that sells lots of snacks and drinks. Hotline phones to taxis and rental cars. more

With fairly limited options in Kiruna, the Scandic is a fairly safe choice. We ended up getting a nice room on the fourth floor overlooking the town after originally put into a first floor smoking room which seemed a little shabby (we requested a high floor non-smoking room). Stayed 2 nights in a triple room (3 adults). Excellent location, hotel and room clean, friendly helpful staff. Despite being a room for 3 there were only 2 coffee cups with the kettle, very minor point but annoying given the price. We stayed in Scandic for 4 days in early January. It was a great hotel, our room was on level 4 it was a new and very clean room . There is free interent in the lobby which is always helpful and the tourist office is just across the hotel hardly 200m. It was great central hotel. more

The scandic is a very good hotel, with lovely sauna in the 5th floor. Rooms are nice, spacious and clean with confy beds.
