Stayed in lodge 13, Unlucky for some !!!!!! The lodge was dirty, dated and uncomfortable. The site didn't have a golf course and the lakes were privately owned. Didn't find any decent walks close by for walking our dog. Out in the middle of nowhere. It didn't live up to advertisement. We originally booked a 6 nights stay but only... More

We stayed for a week at the end of July in Lodge 40. The lodge was excellent, well appointed with everything we needed for a great holiday, including a BBQ and a deck to sit and enjoy the peace and quiet. The view was non existent - just overgrown brambles and other lodges nearby BUT the lodge itself was quiet... More

The lodge itself is clean (on the inside not outside) and spacious enough for 6 people and 2 small dogs. It is well equipped and everything worked bar a few light bulbs. With only one other lodge close by it feels private - there are other lodges that are more secluded than this one but there are lots that are... More

We stayed in lodge 74 - it was everything we needed (as a family of 5!) Beautiful scenic area and quiet too. Parking just outside the lodges is available. The golf course next to use was closed due to unforeseen circumstances, so we couldn't do any golf. Which didnt bother us anyway as we went out everyday. The area is... More

perfect week away and a chance to unwind but make sure you take the car, the beach in Bude is lovely and if you get a chance try the Hoops pub as well as the old smithy, nice and clean lodges and no complaints from us, we stayed in number 72

We stayed at lodge 56 owned by Jeff Gosling so privately owned. On arriving we knew all would be good. With 5 adults and a 1 year old we found the lodge ideal for the size of the party. I can't not comment on the fishing which my son in law and myself did daily. Best catch was a 22lb... More

We stayed in lodge number 62 (privately owned), we had great views of the lake and surrounding countryside which wasn't ruined by inclement weather. This is an excellent base for visiting Barnstaple (30 mins), Bideford (20 mins), spectacular Hartland (10 mins) and even the historic Boscastle/Tintagle is only approx 40 mins away. The lodge site is situated on the Devon/Cornish... More

We have just had a fortnight at lodge 42 at Hartland Forest Golf park which we booked via the Internet. The lodges are set in a peaceful and tranquil setting about 2 miles from the A39 road to Bude. Ours was a 3 bedroomed lodge and it was well equipped with a dishwasher, stereo, TV, DVD player and 2 showers... More

I'm not going to write a novel all that needs to be said is I can highly recommend a stay with Hartland Forest Lodges. Our party consisted of 2 adults and 3 children aged 11, 8 & 5. The lodge was well equipped, spotlessley clean, it was evident that great attention had been paid to the comfort of the customer,... More

We stayed in Lodge 84, which was idyllic, we were the only people on site, there was no noise or light pollution, the only sounds were nature!! During our stay we had a daily visit from a hunting barn owl, several visits from a large deer, not to mention the tranquility, highly recommended, my 4 year old and 75 year old... More
