Long story short, this was one of only 3 hotels available during our stay due to a huge global climate summit in Copenhagen. We chose the Absalon primarily because it was only slightly expensive; the others were insanely expensive. The hotel is clean, but the rooms look like they are straight from 1977. The staff was certainly friendly, and the... more

Older but definitely clean. Very friendly staff. Worth it for the breakfast alone! We needed a room for three, which they have, for one night after our flight into CPH and before we headed to Sweden. Excellent location and the neighborhood didn't bother us. But then we didn't hang out in the neighborhood, we made the brief walk to the... more

we booked this hotel based on reality that hotels in copenhagen are quite expensive compared to other cities in europe, so we thought that this hotel is centrally located and is not the most expensive hotel in town but still reasonable to stay. I was travelling with my friend and we stayed in Absalon hotel for 4 nights starting from... more

This hotel was perfectly located as it was 2 minutes from central station. There were several hotels in the area so felt it was a busy area. Have to agree that there were some "business women" down the street from our hotel but we never experienced problems at all. Staff were friendly and helpful. Breakfast was filling. Rooms were dated... more

We, the delightful Mrs. Gam and I, prefer to stay in three star, family owned hotels in Europe, because they give the truest travel experience. We booked the Absalon principally because of the reviews here on TA, plus a helpful soul on the Copenhagen forum. The hotel is pretty much as advertised. The room was fine, though it was obvious... more

Stayed here for 3 nights in August and was totally disappointed with the room in the Annex i was sharing with my partner. we had just come from Paris where we had a lovely hotel room with all the amenities including a flat screen TV to this absolute dump. the 'double bed' was two twins pushed together covered in some... more

I wanted something very close to the station, and got it. Maybe 1 minute walk, really. We stayed in hotel, not annex, and we were very glad with quality of service, huge breakfast, kettle and tea in the room. The staff was super nice, one may buy in the reception basic things like water, chips, even beer I think. I... more

We booked a room through Expedia.com for the Absalon Annex - it cost us $300 for 2 nights. Bottom line: Copenhagen is expensive. Once we arrived - our desk clerk was very kind - spoke English and gave us our keys. We went up to the 3rd floor, opened our bedroom door & realized, for the price, Copenhagen's rooms are... more

We stayed 3 nights in the Absalon Annex and were very happy with everything. We booked through "wonderful copenhagen" website (which has no booking fee or cancellation fee) and paid 600DK/night. I thought this was great value compared to all the other prices i researched. We could walk everywhere, and for those who dont like walking so much i would... more

Stayed in the Hotel and had an excellent room. The cost was 1150DKK and included tickets to the Tivoli and breakfast. Ok so the area was part of the Red Light District but as I had come in from Amsterdam this was very tame. I was travelling with my 20 something year old daughter and felt quite safe in the... more
