We stayed for one night at the Richmond Hotel in September before embarking to our cruise ship in Copenhagen . This hotel is in an older building near the center of town. Thus location is a selling point. The room is small but has all the basic comfort. The price for one night is comparable to a mid range hotel... More

I came here because it was on sale, and it most definitely should have been. I did not include breakfast with my stay. In writing this review I'm wrestling with the difference between average and poor. In comparing this to other hotels I've stayed at, this was most definitely poor, but for the frequent traveler it might be considered average.... More

Staied here for a conference at Copenhagen University (less than 10 minutes walk). The room was clean and functional with everything that is needed. Free WiFi was provided. If you do not fancy paying extra for breakfast, I found a bakery not far away where I could get still-warm Danish and coffee and even sofa and newspapers.

The Richmond is about a 15 minute walk from the train station and easy enough to find. The staff at reception were excellent and most accommodating considering we were three hours early for check-in. The rooms are a bit old and a bit basic. It did have a telephone, a flat screen tv, good quality wifi, an electric fan but... More

Just finished second stay at Richmond which was delightful. This stay was in September rather than February, so sample was helped by warmer weather and more tourist choices available. That said, Richmond Hotel is a economical choice in a great location. Stay was greatly improved by the service of Jane and Daniel, both incredibly helpful and kind. I requested a... More

We stayed here a total of five nights, one pre and four post cruise. The staff at the Richmond were exceptional. The entire staff was cheerful and ready to offer assistance, particularly Randi and Jane. The location was great, a short walk to the train station since we had an early train to catch to Oslo. The accommodations are not superior,... More

The location of this hotel is convenient. It is an easy walk to the station and to all the central attractions in Copenhagen, including the pedestrian shopping street. It is a budget hotel and one should set one's expectations accordingly. The rooms and general decor are rather tired but the essentials (bed and bathroom) are clean and just fine. The... More

Worst hotel I stayed in during my six weeks in Europe. Room rate was the same as what I paid for five star hotels which would have been OK if the place had not been so miserable. We were in the 'executive' room - though there was nothing executive about it. NO Air Con- you had two fans in a... More

This is the worst place I have ever stayed. the staff attitude stinks at the reception no smile or nothing you just feel you are there a nuisance. The hotel insulation is poor that you can hear everything between rooms left right and centre. The rooms are out dated I would expect that kind of room in the middle of... More

On the plus side it's affordably priced. It's a fairly good location and the rooms are fine. Not the nicest but just fine. The free WiFi is flakey but it's free so I can't complain too much. On the other hand check in was slow and the building is on the old side. But seeing my friends "$500/night" room I... More
