We stayed at the Hotel Alexandra in May 2014 for three days post-cruise. We loved the Scandinavian furnishings highlighting renowned designers, the welcoming and friendly staff and great location - close to Tivoli and downtown Copenhagen. It was so nice to be welcomed with a glass of wine on our return to the hotel in the evening. Bikes are available... More

We stayed for 3 nights, and the room was really nice, small but had everything you need. The location is fantastic, near the central station and main points of attractions, and the wifi works fine. Staff could be more friendly though and more interactive with the guests, breakfast was not included.

Mrs Cook and I stayed here for two nights at the end of July it was warm (about 25C) but not really hot. The best thing was the style of the room (why we chose it, a design classic room) and the restaurant (we had breakfast there and also had lunch on our final day, all great). The room is... More

We spent two nights at the Hotel Alexandra in June2014 in a Deluxe room fitted with furniture designed by Finn Juhl. The room was excellent with a lovelyview overlooking H. C. Andersens Boulevard. The hotel is handy to just about everything you might need in Copenhagen, including plenty of nce little bars and restaurants and of course Tivoli Gardens and... More

The staff were very friendly and helpful. The location is only 5 minutes away from Central station and the main shopping district. The cafe attached to the hotel does a great coffee. The rooms are really clean and minimalist design - it's very funky. The only downsides of the hotel: 1. It was very hot (there is no air conditioning)... More

My husband and I enjoyed our 3-night stay at Hotel Alexandra. It really met our expectations: welcoming and helpful staff, giving your the rights tips for places to eat (Royal Smuchi for lunch is a must). Our standard double room was perfect, we enjoyed the Danish retro style. It was hot in CPH, so during the day we left the... More

We really enjoyed our stay at Hotel Alexandra. As a first good impression, the lobby is cozy and welcoming and the staff friendly and helpful. Our room was small but homey, with a wonderful touch of Danish Design (we stayed in a "Small Danish retro superior" room). A neat feature of the room was that the bed was designed with... More

This hotel was one of several recommended by the conference I was attending. As advertised, the furniture is mid-century furniture which was one of the draws for me. The lobby is also mid-century with a nice, homey feel about it. Unfortunately, the rooms and baths also feel like they are mid-century -- need a bit of TLC. The staff were... More

We stayed here for 2 nights prior to a Baltic cruise. Great location, very friendly and helpful staff. Our room was small but well-appointed with Danish Modern accents. There were problems with the plumbing during our stay, so the manager gave us free breakfast for the inconvenience. (I appreciate management that find ways to compensate for the unexpected.) The staff... More

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
2013 Was the year where we brought half of our rooms back to the 50's. We decorated the rooms with furniture, wallpapers, lamps and textiles like the design loving Danes did in the 50's. 2014 Is the time for moving ahead. In early March we ended the renovation of the last rooms and they will be decorated just as the design loving Danes did it in the 60's. Hotel Alexandra is perfectly situated right next to Europe's largest pedestrian street and the Tivoli Gardens. ... more   less
