My first good experience with this hotel was the ease of getting there from the airport, straight to the metro and it is a short walk to the hotel. Staff were friendly and helpful and let us switch rooms when we were having problems with the bath. I will say the rooms at the front of the hotel are rather... more

Previous reviews made me think this would be a grim place to stay, but in fact I was pleasantly surprised. There were a few stains on the carpets, but carpets were a pale colour so unless the hotel provide some slippers, I think this is unavoidable - though they should make a better attempt to remove stains. Bed was comfortable.... more

Having done my usual research to try and find somewhere special for the weekend - I had high hopes of the Avenue. Sadly, it was so disappointing. From the tacky exterior (more like an American motel) to the decidedly cool reception staff, my initial impression wasn't good. The hallways were tatty and pokey. The room itself was quiet and reasonably... more

I stayed here for three nights and had a lovely room facing the back of the hotel which was very quiet and peaceful. The breakfast was excellent, the room was clean, and the hotel staff were very helpful. Although the hotel was about 15 minutes from the square near City Hall, the walk was easy and you could also take... more

I should point out at the start of this review that I won a competition and my 2 night stay here was part of my prize. Your experience of the Avenue Hotel will depend on how much you’ve spent, what you were expecting and which room you’re allocated – it’s an old building and the size of each of the... more

I was given a spacious suite, very modern and bright. I love the minimalistic design and the plasma TVs in the living and bedroom. The location is great too, less than 5 minutes to the Forum station and one or 2 stops away from the shopping belt. Hence, you don't pay sky high hotel rates for a great boutique hotel... more

I was really excited about staying at the Avenue hotel in Copenhagen, the photos looked great, (most) reviews sounded super and being a Mr & Mrs Smith reccommendation I thought that this would be quite a special stay for my boyfriend and I. The hotel is really close to Forum Metro station, about a 5 minute walk to the hotel.... more

Often go to Copenhagen for business and always try to get a room at the Avenue. What I love about this hotel is that it feels like a home away from home, and the rooms are all really comfortable without feeling sterile. Staff are friendly and efficient and the hotel serves the best breakfast ever incl homemade breads and jams.... more

From reading the other reviews on this site it seems that you either love this hotel or loath it. I fall into the former camp. From the welcoming fire in the lounge and friendly staff to the warm, clean bedrooms (room 205 overlooking the back of the hotel). The walk into the centre of the city takes about 20 minutes... more

Firstly let me start with getting to the hotel from the Airport. There is a direct Metro service from the Airport to the Forum Metro Station which is the closest. The journey costs 30 DKK but please note the machines do not take notes so you need to have some coins ready. Also there is no change machine so remember... more
