This was a great place to stay for a couple days in Copenhagen. It was spacious enough, location was OK, and free Wifi. There is a lot of renovations going on so it might be loud during the day but that never affected me. The breakfast was a little pricey so we passed. However, considering how expensive this city really... More

The Guldsmeden is in a fashionable, funky, food focused neighbourhood. Stay here if you want to avoid the tourist rip off zone and want to see a slice of real Copenhagen, the most majestic of Nordic cities. More

We were initially turned off by the ongoing indoor and outdoor building renovations, so we asked for a "quiet" room and were accommodated with a 1st floor room in the annex. The room was ok, and very clean. The staff was very friendly and helpful and we enjoyed our welcome drinks. The dining area was comfortable and breakfast was good,... More

Found the Guldsmeden hotel as I was looking for a hotel in central Copenhagen that offers car park. Our two-night stay was really nice. There are two car parks, one of them has a really narrow gate, the other one is bigger. The room was nice, nothing to complain about. There were some building works taking place outside and generally... More

During our stay we've found lots of positive things about this hotel. Location is good (appr 240kr for taxi from airport) and you can walk almost everywhere from here. Some nice restaurants are around, the shop open until 22:00 during week is exactly in the opposite. The staff was great - helpful, offered free coffee for warming up. rooms are... More

Lovely staff and a really nice atmosphere, but the hotel isn't quite as luxurious as promised in its marketing materials, or as you might expect from its price. The bathroom is typical Nordic design (i.e. rubbish shower!) and the four-poster bed in the room barely fits. The room was clean enough but could be better and we were in an... More

The pictures on the hotel website make the hotel look a bit fancier than it actually is. There's nothing wrong with it: we had a nice quiet room in the annex building in the yard, it's a 10+ minute walk form the central station, and the breakfast is actually just as good as they promise. The atmosphere is homely, with... More

Very clean, very central, super-friendly staff, generous organic breakfasts, spacious rooms, great decor and four poster beds in all rooms! The staff were lovely, and a touch eccentric, but in a delightful way, and could not have been more helpful. I would not receommend you stay anywhere but here - it was excellent on all counts. More

In an expensive city, this hotel represents excellent value for money quality/price ratio. Its in a fashionable buzzy area, well placed for good restaurants and independent shops. Its not that close to the historic centre though, its a good 15 minutes walk to get to the main drags if that is what you are looking for. However, you are near... More

This was our third vist to the Carlton Guldsmeden, and second time in the annex building. The hotel is well-located, about a 10-15 minute walk from the main rail station. (Parking is available for those travelling by car.) The rooms are cosy, with hardwood flooring and a poster bed. The bathroom has a heated floor and organic shower gels and... More
