I'd like to start by stating that this is the first time I write a review, the service at The Square was so awful, that I felt obliged to warn possible future guests. I have traveled a lot and have always stayed in 4 or 5 star hotels, I can assure you that I have never seen such poor service... more

The Square Hotel is right on the City Hall Square opposite the pedestrian shopping streets and around the corner from the Tivoli Gardens. I had prepaid through a reputable UK travel portal but unfortunately the booking had not been processed by the time we arrived at 10pm (not apportioning blame on either party). However, the Reception staff were most apologetic... more

I had shopped the internet over and over again and thought this hotel might just do. The price for Copenhagen was not the bad ($230 US) for superior single. I arrived at 11:30am and was told the rooms would not be available until 2pm, the norm. I had had a terrible incident before getting to the hotel and looked it.... more

The Square is a nice hotel with a great location (NNW corner of radhusplein), basically two blocks away from the main train station, and near the Tivoli, the beginning of the Stroget, Ny Carlsberg Glyptoke, National Museum. The room itself was roomy enough, not huge, clean. I had a room which faced the square. This means a nice view, but... more

I stayed in a double room in the back facing offices across the way. That is an advantage as the hotel sits right on the edge of the town square, and it can get noisy at times. The rooms are quiet in the back. The location is excellent - close to Tivoli, the town square, and the train station. Copenhagen... more

This hotel looks great throughout. The decor is stylish and the rooms comfortable in all aspects except the size! I shared a twin room with a friend, however the bedroom was so tiny that there was no room to separate the beds and still have room to walk around them! That said, the bathroom was great and everything was spotlessly... more

I would suggest you stay away from this hotel. The amenities you would expect from a hotel were all missing: no wifi in the rooms, no iron/ironing board, no in room coffee service. When I asked for an iron to be sent up to the room, they suggested I come down and get it. I got the same response when... more

Stayed for one night, room was small but modern - to be expected for rate. No hot water in the morning at all - the whole hotel went down apparently. Not told that there was no hot water - had to find out myself in towel. Breakfast good - great selection, nice room. Very busy (cold unwashed people looking to... more

This was a short business trip, and I think the overall price/benefit ratio was good. The hotel was nice and clean, with the Nordic minimalist approach which I like. Staff at reception was corteous and efficient, and the room was of a good size and well decorated. Everything seemed clean, and the furniture was of good quality. I found the... more

This hotel is very hip and not really for Squares at all! The lobby is spare but chic, the famous Jacobsen Egg design chairs are very comfortable and the rest of the furniture is stylish. They have a good selection of international newspapers and the internet connection is reliable. The front desk folks are terribly helpful in a sort of... more
