We stayed in Hotel Bethel on May 12 before our cruise and on May 24 after our cruise. We arrived at about 8 am due to our early flight. We were warmly received by the desk clerk Mads and the manager Dorte. The check in time is 2 pm, but we were given the room as it was available. We... More

We stayed at the Bethel hotel for 5 nights in May.The location is very good, with it been on Nyhaven with it's many restaurants and cafes along the water side. A easy walking distance to many sights including Stoget and Tivoli Gardens. The hotel has a 24 hour reception, who were very helpful with arranging taxis. The room which we... More

Brilliant location for a weekend stay. Rooms are on the small side but beds are comfy and everything was clean. Was functional rather than luxurious but I thought it was great. Beautiful view of Nyhavn and although we didn't experience too much night time noise in May I can imagine it could by loud in summer. Breakfast was good and... More

I visited Copenhagen twice last month, and the last night of my trip opted for this property aka Hotel Bethel. It is by far not the most luxurious accommodation in the city, however it is not without its quirky charms. The iconic location on Nyhavn must be the most photographed area in all of Copenhagen, yes, it is very touristy... More

Stayed at this former Brothel property for 3 nights in May 2015. The location can't be beat, right on the canal in the Nyhavn area and amongst many restaurants, shops, the "hop on/hop off" bus, boat rides...all at your footsteps. The hotel is basic at the most, price is modest and the staff was adequate & friendly enough. We reserved... More

As previous posters have stated, the location of this hotel is great. Walking distance to Metro, restaurants, Hop On/Hop Off Bus are all very very close. Desk personnel were pleasant, and the breakfast was adequate. Room was clean. Had to request more pillows because they are way too small. Soap dispenser in shower was empty - and took 2 days... Have to agree, this hotel is located in the best area of the city if you are a tourist and want to go out for a few drinks and have a nice meal after sight seeing. Although it is at a crossroads of a very busy city centre it is still very quiet. The feel of the hotel is family... More

We booked this hotel mainly because of the location, and were not disappointed. We booked direct with the hotel and requested a room facing the courtyard on a high floor. Drawback to this was that the lift was small and only took 3 people at a time. The hotel was basic, but spotlessly clean and the towels were changed (could... More

4 of 5 stars Reviewed April 26, 2015

I stayed here on a solo trip through Scandinavia. I couldn't have been more pleased with the location, service, and hotel in general. The only reason it's not 5 stars are the dorm-like accommodations but otherwise it's a great place to call home in Copenhagen. I would highly recommend this hotel.
