We were three 60ish couples from the US looking for a convenient place for sightseeing before our August 2014 Baltic cruise. We booked this hotel based upon prior recommendations on TripAdvisor and its perfect location right on the canal in the Nyhavn district. We took the train from the airport and walked our bags the few blocks to the hotel.... More

Right on Nyhavn this hotel is in a very good location, within easy walking distance of the metro. We had a small room at the back of the hotel, so no view over the canal. However, it was quiet. Friendly, helpful staff. Breakfasts were fairly average but adequate.

I stayed in this hotel for one night. It was very clean and in the perfect location to visit Copehagen. It's on one of the most beautiful streets in the city. The breakfast was nice, the room very clean. The bathroom was a little old but very functional.

I stayed in Hotel Bethel in September for 2 nights and it was absolutely perfect. We booked the corner room, which was more money, but the room was worth it. The staff at the front desk were very helpful and nice. It was rainy/cold when we were there, so when we got back to the hotel after a day out... More

I stayed at Bethel for three nights until it closed for the holidays on Dec 22, and at Wakeup on the night of Dec 27. My experience at Bethel would take me back there in comparison to Wakeup. Bethel's breakfast was far superior, with about eight cheeses, Danish pastry, a selection of meats and fruits and on and on, and... More

I feel I was a little mislead by the many glowing reviews here on TripAdvisor. This was okay budget accommodation, though still rather expensive for what you get (of course, Copenhagen is an expensive city). I feel that the hotel's location in Nyhavn is what really bumped up its price. On the first night I found myself lying in bed... More

The location is definitely the big plus of this hotel. Furthermore there is friendly staff, a rather good breakfast and free wifi throughout the hotel. A huge drawback is the catastrophic insulation between the rooms. We could here everything from our neighbors bathroom (incl. every word they talked, their peeing (yes that's ugly), every small thing they put somewhere, etc.).... More

Clean, comfortable and affordable in a very expensive city. Location is directly on the canal. Can be a little noisy because of location. Staff was friendly and helpful. Room and hotel were very clean. Our room was recently updated. We would stay here again.

Spent three nights at this great value hotel in Copenhagen. The old building is full of character with dome shaped windows overlooking the canal. The rooms were clean, comfortable and the wi-fi was reliable. The location, right in the heart of the city, but quiet beside a canal, is ideal for exploring on foot. Breakfasts were fine, with a good... More

This hotel is very central with all the key attractions in walking distance. We stayed in a corner room and had fabulous views over Nyvahn. The hotel had free wifi and the breakfast was better than expected with a good selection of bread, cheese, meat and pastries. The staff were very helpful and we were able to leave our luggage...
