Stayed 3 nights Nov 6-9 with my wife and teenage daughter on a quick family trip to see Copenhagen. Rooms were basic but perfectly suitable - we weren't looking to spend much time in the rooms so our needs were less than some other reviewers seem to be expecting. If you visit Copenhagen only once you want to stay here... more

Stayed here for 1 night and glad it was only one! The location is great and very central but the rooms are extremely basic. It felt more like a hostel than a hotel and there are probably better hotels to stay at for the price. The view from our room was probably the best thing but other than that, I... more

The only charm you'll find in this place is outside the window. It's a very basic hotel and at that it does a good job. But if you're expecting anything more than a clean bed and shower, I'd advise shopping around. For the price, there are better deals to be found, especially at this time of year (autumn). Additionally, if... more

I was on business in Copenhagen and needed a hotel with central location for my business. I really liked the hotel, it is a little bit old but very cozy. The breakfast is very good and the price for the hotel is very fair. All in all a very nice hotel with very good location at a fair price. more

I needed a place to spend a single night before heading off to another part of Denmark. Found this one courtesy of TripAdvisor! Pros: - Central location on the Nyhavn... perfect! I walked to many places from here! Lots of dining options just outside the door - Great price - Complimentary breakfast - no hot items, but very adequate. Cheese... more

We stayed two nights in September. We were very impressed with the service level of hotel staff. Our room was clean and sufficient in size. The breakfasts were great and value was noteworthy. The only caution we advise is if you are a -very- light sleeper. On Saturday evening, the music from the Nyhavn bars ended on this weekend evening... more

We stayed in the Hotel Bethel for three nights and we found the location to be outstanding. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful and the breakfast was excellent. This family-run hotel was everything that we could have wanted. Some have complained that the rooms are small, but we found our room to be pretty typical of a European hotel... more

Stayed here for two nights in September 2009. Firstly I was in room 122 which must have the best view in Copenhagen, the only room with a balcony looking out over the Nyhavn and many of its bars and restaurants. Hotel rooms are clean and comfortable, for want of a better expression basic with no frills, and I feel guilty... more

I booked this hotel after reading the reviews on Trip advisor. The hotel is very simple, well located and clean. The staff were helpful and friendly. The rooms are quite small and does not have much closet space. So I would not stay for a long period of time. But I definitely recommend it ! more

Having read previous reviews on the Bethel I can add that they are all fair and spot on! The staff had been courteous and helpful pre-stay giving information about transportation and during our stay, acted as our very own 'visitor advice centre'....nothing seemed to be too much trouble for them. Location: perfectly situated on the very quaint Nyhavn. Rooms: adequate... more
