If you go to a cheapish hotel near the train station, a certain seediness can be expected, and the Saga doesn't disappoint. Worn carpets, thin doors, stains in bath and so on. Good ear plugs are a must because the doors are thin, the corridor floors wood, and you have to expect hearing people tramping past your door regularly in... More

Not a brilliant hotel, but good enough for a night or 2. Location is central, but feels a bit seedy, so not a great location to stay with a family, although for 1-2 nights it was okay. Rooms are clean but a bit stuffy, due to the carpets and overall old fashioned decoration.

We were joining friends who had booked the hotel for us.The location is close to the station, near a lot of places of interest, our room is sparkling clean,as is the bathroom. It has free wifi, telephone and television. People at the reception are friendly and helpful.Copenhagen is a very expensive town and Saga is not expensive. The only problem is absence of a lift,and... More

This is more a hostel than a hotel, no bathroom in the room, no elevator, no AC, unfriendly staff, noisy and dangerous location, lots of drunks and dangerous people around the place, dirty, etc etc etc The worst part is that they know their hostel sucks so they have a "no money back" policy so you either stay or leave... Our first visit in Copenhagen was worse than we could imagine, only because of the hotel and staff. We had one stopover on our trip by car in Europe. Our search was cheap, clean, location and animal friendly, so we were well prepared on non luxury but at least clean rooms and service minded staff. The location was good, like... More

Although this was only a two star hotel-and I do feel that the cost was excessive- I paid £320 for three nights in a double room- however it is within walking distance of all the main inner-city sites, and attractions. And upon researching many other hotels you find the Copenhagen is actually quite an expensive city overall for accommodation. The... More

We enjoyed our stay at Saga Hotel. Breakfast was very good. Location near train station, Tivoli and Glyptotek was good. Nyhavn and other sights were a bit of a walk, but not too far. Shared bathroom was almost always available without a wait. Copenhagen was having a heat wave which made it necessary to keep the windows open at night.... More

Bit disappointed that the prices had increased, the same room was 500 kroner the week before. People friendly, breakfast included. No ensuite facilities or lift. Decent standard of cleanliness. Would advise caution late at night at the back of the station, there is road where vagrants congrugate. Overall Copenhagen itself was very expensive.

The main advantage of Saga is definitely the location. Literally 2 mins from the Central Station. It is placed in the trendy Vestbro, which is filled with lots of nice bars. It is very close to Tivoli and a walkable distance from the center of the city. The rooms are super basic, and majority does not have toilets/showers - these... More

Spent 2 nights here last weekend. Had a family room overlooking the main street which turned out to be quite noisy. It was quite warm so had to have the windows open a bit and got woken up around 5am. There seems to be quite a few street drunks around this area of town as its very close to the... More
