Was there for 2 nights on a business trip. Had a room right next to the elevator which I could hear at night. The room was smaller than my room in college when I lived on campus. I could smell Thai food from the restaurant down the street. Because the room was facing the interior courtyard of the building, where... More

Having read some of the other reviews ,I was a bit apprehensive about this hotel. To my surprise it turned out to be better than most of the reviews had said. Visited here late January 2016 .Got a warm reception from desk staff ,pleasant and smiling. Unfortunately we were booked into the top floor where the roof slopes and being... More

Good hotel for the price - Rooms clean and warm and very near to the Railway Station making it a convenient place to stay, staff were friendly and helpful were possible. A continental breakfast was available (extra on the package we chose) which was comprehensive.

We spent 1 night here on our way north to norway. Very simple basic comforts but nice warm large bathroom. Just what we needed. On the other hand breakfast was amazing. I would stay here again but it's not a romantic stay.

Let me start by saying I love traveling and I have visited a lot of countries and stayed in different types of accommodations, from low budget hostels to luxurious resorts but what I experienced with this hotel was simply terrible. Let me be clear, I didn't even stay in the hotel but I think it is important to share my... More

We stayed at the Copenhagen Star hotel in October for 4 days. A decent hotel for a fair price, very centrally located, about 5 minute walk from the train station. The hotel staff were attentive and helpful to point out local areas of interest and how to get there. The breakfast was the biggest shock, most places I have stayed... More

I spent there 2 nights. the room quality was really excellent. I loved the breakfast. it has a lot of variety and good taste. the stuff there was friendly. the hotel is central, nearby the train station. I only didn't like the view but it doesn't bother me much. I love it !

We wanted a 'special' hotel for our last night in Scandinavia. The price was certainly special, very high indeed, so we were hugely disappointed to find that though our room was large, it was very dated, sort of 1960s or 70s, as was the bathroom. We thought, very overpriced, but 'c'est la vie!' A comfortable bed, but in the morning... More

I never really look for hotels that are luxurious and over the top, and I'm more of a "as long as I can sleep and feel safe, I'm good," type traveler. The Copenhagen Star is a decent 3-star hotel that has a good location near the main station and pretty much within walking distance to just about everything since Copenhagen... More

Staying in Inner Vesterbro

Neighborhood Profile
Inner Vesterbro
This neighbourhood is home to Tivoli Gardens, a world famous amusement park and beautiful garden always worth a visit. Just west of Tivoli, you’ll find Copenhagen Central Station, from where you can reach just about every part of Denmark within 5 or 6 hours, or you can reach Copenhagen Airport in less than 15 minutes. Next to the Central Station, you’re in the middle of “old” Vesterbro, where several cultures and hundreds of languages are spoken in an area not more than one square mile. This neighbourhood is considered one of the most trendy places to live in and to visit in Copenhagen. For a real treat, visit Kødbyen ("meat town"), home to several restaurants, cafés and nightclubs, all within a short walk of each other.
