location....location...location We stayed here for 3 nights and it was most enjoyable Staff were very friendly and accommodating Room and bathroom were good size for a European Hotel - bathroom is a big issue as there are no hand rails to help you enter and exit the bathtub/shower - why is it that Europeans cannot understand that it is difficult... but everything else needed work. This hotel has a lobby/atrium in the middle of all the rooms, which are constructed around that space in a block. The hotel holds events in the "atrium" until 10pm, which means you get to listen to everyone else's noise while you are in your hotel room. The windows and walls are extremely thin, and... More

Check-in was very efficient, the room we got was spacious but in need of a facelift. The tiles in our bathroom were broken on several places. There is no noise cancellation whatsoever in the rooms which makes it impossible to be in there if there is a dinner going on downstairs. Luckily it had ended when we got back after... More

Friendly and serviceminded staff in reception and restaurant, nice and well equipped twinroom, full danish breakfast, super central location without traffic noise. In the hottest summer days i would wish for more aircooling.

We recently stayed at the First Hotel Kong Frederik in Copenhagen. This motel is centrally located right in the heart of the city and is an easy walk to the major train station and shopping areas. The motel itself is an old style european hotel and has a couple of floors. Our standard room was clean but small and had... More

Interesting internal garden area to relax in. Can feel a bit dark inside due to all the dark wood etc. rooms are not the largest but it... More

We arrived in the middle of a heat wave. The rooms were a nice size for an older hotel and seemed well appointed. Our bathroom was clean, but old. However, the hotel has no air conditioning. One bedroom had a window opening to the interior courtyard. The other had two windows opening onto a fire escape and intimate views of... More

I stayed in this hotel earlier this year at a very busy period and the staff were nothing but friendly and accommodating. The hotel is in a charming old building just off the main square of Copenhagen. I got a lovely spacious room overlooking the street, with a big double bed and a sitting area with two armchairs. It is... More

I am sorry to say that even though the hotel is central and the hotel itself is very nice, the rooms are not 4 star simply because the bathrooms are in super bad shape! Mold, cracks and leftover I don't what. Under the sink are even worse;( Management should be ashamed of themselves and commenting that they've been working on... More
