We stayed for just one night. The staff were friendly and the room we had was big and spacious. What we liked the most was the swimming pool. My son really enjoyed swimming and had a lot of fun. The location was also good. Not far from Tivoli. I would recommend this for families that are looking for a relaxing... more

One of the best morning buffets I have tried. The room was clean, with modern furniture and a parquet floor. The only disantvantage is the location next to a train track - constant noise. more

The location of the DGI-Byens is pretty good. A few blocks from some good restaurants in Vesterbro and Copenhagen Central Station and Tivoli. The rooms were sparse but very clean. The bathrooms were nice and large, and with heated towel rack, very nice for the Copenhagen winter. The breakfast was european style: meats, cheeses, bread, pastries, yogurt, muesli and of... more

DGI-Byen is an OK hotel with a great location. We had a family room, which seem to be a bit further away from the railway end of the hotel. Other family members were overlooking the railway line and report it was very noisy. Not a problem for us, but if you're staying for more than 1 night worth considering. The... more

A stylish Scandanavian contemporary hotel right in the centre of Copenhagen, with the advantage of on site parking at a reasonable cost. Tivoli Gardens was right on your doorstep. There were excellent on-site sports facilities - free to hotel guests 6.30am to midnight. The buffet breakfast was really excellent. The staff were helpful & friendly. . On the negative side... more

This hotel is in a convenient location, just a few steps from the train station and from Tivoli, & a brief walk to most of Copenhagen's main attractions. The rooms are basic and rather stark, but clean and (by European standards) spacious. The staff is friendly and helpful, and room rates include a free buffet breakfast. I especially appreciated free... more

My stay at DGI Byens in Copenhagen was disappointing. This considering I had no expectations to begin with. To break it down, here are the pros and cons: Cons: - No air conditionning (the norm in Copenhagen but when it is very hot in summer, one must open the windows and the DGI Byens is right beside the central train... more

I thought this hotel was a great option. Though, we paid $312.00 per night, that was not untypical for Copenhagen. The complex has a college dorm feeling, but it has a quaint feel. I was please with our stay. The room was not ready till 2P, when we arrived at 900A. That was okay as we left our baggage in... more

I've stayed at this place numerous times over the last few years. I travel from California to Copenhagen for periodic work trips. If nothing, this place is consistent. It's not fancy and it's not perfect, but for the price and location, there's little to beat it. The plusses are: location and amenities. This place is directly next to the best... more
