This hotel was in a fantastic location easily about to walk long distances to every different type of amusement, museum, palace etc. But very close to lots of very nice restaurants. The hotel was very comfortable and the breakfast pretty expansive to suit all tastes. Very busy.

The hotel did not have A/C. We stayed in a suite with a nice sea viewNice breakfast when not too crowdy, which sometimes was the case. The hotel is located near Nyhavn and its restaurants. Not far from the center of Copenhagen

This hotel is located just 10 minutes from the very central city (Stroget). The views onto the harbor and Danish architecture center are beautiful, and the walk by the water just in front of the hotel is wonderful for an evening stroll, very lively but quiet at the same time. Breakfast is not too good, but there are options around... More

If you read many of the reviews here on TA you’ll gather that the best thing about the Strand is the location, 5+ minutes suitcase-pull from Kongens Nytorv Metro station and a couple of hundred metres from Nyhavn facing south east over the water towards Christianshavn on what is currently a very quiet road. We say currently because they’re building... More

We enjoyed our 4-night stay at the Strand Hotel in Copenhagen in July. We experienced 2 days of rain (hotel umbrellas were handy) but this didn't stop us from walking around the city. The harbour-facing hotel was centrally located, about 4-5 blocks from the metro station (Kongens Nytorv Metro). The metro ride from the airport was convenient. The buffet breakfast... More

Stayed here for 3 nights for the MAD symposium, hotel is very centrally located with easy access from the metro. Rooms are clean and very well appointed for the sightseeing tourist. Staff were very polite, efficient and amenable. I would highly recommend this hotel, I plan to stay here when I next return to copenhagen.

Perfectly situated to the main thorough fare for pubs and restaurants which are only a short walk away. However the hotel is clean but very basic. The room I stayed in was clean but very basic with a terrible shower unit.

This hotel is in a great spot for those looking for easy walking to all the main sights, restaurants, and gardens. It's right on the water, meaning you can wake up, walk out and go jump in to start your day (if it's warm outside). Our room was great--not big by any means, but that is to be expected with... More

Spent 2 nights here and the location was great, easy to find. The breakfast was very busy as the hotel was full but staff were attentive and food was replenished regularly. The room was clean. We were out and about so we didn't need anything too fancy. The hotel was good value for Copenhagen.

We stayed in this hotel for a few nights in July. It was a lovely clean and quiet hotel, with friendly staff and a terrific breakfast buffet. It's in a quiet part of the city, overlooking the river and just a short walk to the Nyhavn area - where there are lots of restaurants. Unfortunately we stayed there in the... More
