A good hotel - nice big reception with comfy settees and welcoming staff - all speak good English - free city maps on reception. Rooms small but fine - projecting bay window gives view along alley way to canal but looks out onto oppressive ware house building opposite - with lots of windows - offices? Beds comfy. Shower tended to... More

Basically, it settle basic need. A comfortable room. Basic needs TV,, work desk, free wireless internet access. Reasonable and will satisfy those traveller who just require basic needs. Cost 900++ dkr. Understand the breakfast is typical Danish breakfast. Noted there are no fried stuff (eg fried eggs or sausages, bacons,or harsh brown etc). But have to admit very heathy with... This hotel is ideally located in Copenhagen. The reception area is nice, the staff are friendly, and the breakfast is quite good (though it can be crowded). The room I had is the smallest I have ever stayed in! Having said that, it managed to feel more cozy than cramped. The washroom was big and the shower was powerful. The... More

We stayed here with a child, and small interconnecting rooms worked well for us, at a very good price for Copenhagen - an expensive city. The hotel isn't stylish or special, but had everything we needed: wifi, umbrellas at reception, maps & advice, plus a pleasant breakfast. The location is perfect, near Nyhavn restaurants and in walking distance to the... More

Stayed here two nights for business. Lobby and entrance looks good but rooms are very small. Not good value for money. Very low activity level. Staff is ok but not welcoming and friendly. Good location - close to Nyhavn and the water. Thats about it! No fitness center. Not good for business travellers especially since CPH weather makes it hard... More

I stayed at the Strand in order to attend three days of business meetings. The location is very good but otherwise I would not at all recommend it. It is very overpriced for what is offered. Unless you pay for an upgrade the standard rooms are minute. Until I upgraded, I was offered a tiny room, overlooking the car park,... More

Great location, very close to Nyhavn and the city centre, lovely to stroll along the waters' edge however the rooms are not large and not especially modern or well-looked after (the lamp was broken for instance). Neither is it especially cheap even by Copenhagen's standards. There is no restaurant which is not ideal. Glasses, cups and sachets of coffee etc... More

We stayed at the Strand for a few nights with our children (3 children 10mo, 4 and 8). We received a "Family Room" which is actually 2 rooms connected via a door. This worked perfectly. The rooms were acceptably clean albeit a little on the small size (this didn't bother us one bit). The bathrooms were nice and clean. We... More

After what seemed like days reading reviews and checking availability and prices we chose this hotel. As everyone says it’s in a great location with all the major attractions within walking distance - Nyhavn is no more than 5 minutes away. The nearest metro station is Kongens Nytorv. It’s a 10 minute walk away and the airport just a 20... More

Great location, good beds but rooms need to be upgraded in general. Shower with low 'pressure', and not enough hot water to take a bath. Lamps in bathroom broken and not replaced. Furniture very old and worn out. The place didn't felt taken care of. I payed 1540dkk for a double which I found overpriced.
