This hotel is in a great spot for those looking for easy walking to all the main sights, restaurants, and gardens. It's right on the water, meaning you can wake up, walk out and go jump in to start your day (if it's warm outside). Our room was great--not big by any means, but that is to be expected with... More

Spent 2 nights here and the location was great, easy to find. The breakfast was very busy as the hotel was full but staff were attentive and food was replenished regularly. The room was clean. We were out and about so we didn't need anything too fancy. The hotel was good value for Copenhagen.

We stayed in this hotel for a few nights in July. It was a lovely clean and quiet hotel, with friendly staff and a terrific breakfast buffet. It's in a quiet part of the city, overlooking the river and just a short walk to the Nyhavn area - where there are lots of restaurants. Unfortunately we stayed there in the... More

We had stayed here in 2003 and enjoyed the location and the wonderful breakfast. This time around, we enjoyed those even more, but also noted the quiet and the phenomenal location. There is something great about walking out and having part of the harbor directly in front of you, then walking just around the corner to have Nyhavn revealed. We... More

Stayed here three nights before our cruise. For the money (the Strand's prices are very reasonable for expensive Copenhagen), the hotel delivers very good quality. Our one complaint was the lack of air conditioning. It was in the 80s each day and our rooms never really cooled off. The old excuse that "we don't need air conditioning in Scandinavia" just... More

Very nice hotel well situated in the center, next to the harbour and Nyhavn. Small but clean and comfortable room. Been here before and I will probably return. The breakfast is standard hotel breakfast - quite ok but not remarkably good and quite crowded in the rush hour. Would have been nice with different kinds of coffee, not only the... More

Location and staff are nice, but the room I stayed in was in quite bad shape. No air conditioning in the room so had to keep the windows open, but right under the windows there were the hotel garbage containers. Not nice. Also the plaster was falling off of the walls and the bed frame was broken. Also the WiFi... More

We planned 6 nights in Copenhagen at the end of our holiday and initially relied on our travel agent to recommend a hotel. But when we looked at its location, thought we might be able to do better on-line. Thank you TripAdvisor for helping us choose this hotel. GREAT location next to canal and v near Nyhavn which has lots... More

We stayed 1 night here before our Baltic Sea cruise and our room was small, hot and the carpet looked very worn and stained. The sheets seemed to be clean but the hotel just looked worn down - they need to invest some money into refurbishing. We opened the window in the room but bugs started to come in, so... More

The hotel is in an excellent location, within easy walking distance to almost every sight. It's directly next to the water with a view of the Church of our Saviour and round the corner from Nyhavn. The hotel facilities and service weren't great - internet was spotty at best, the room decor is beaten up and worn (except the bathroom,... More
