The rooms are okay, but overpriced. The biggest complaint is that there is quite a lot of construction work going on in the Hotel. They should have handed out one of those Peltor ear protection things when you check-in. Or at least tell people about it. Was woken up just after 8 by a loud stone drilling noise and some... More

A group of 11 females booked 4 family/twin rooms for 2/3 nights at the end of November to go to the Xmas markets. Booking was easy and the rooms were well sized and well furnished. The hotel is in a great location close to town and really close to Tivoli. we had breakfast which was fine. Overall the review is... More

Tiny rooms, rather old hotel, requires improvement in cleaning, but has very good location near tivoli park and railway station, I would recommend it for one night but I am sure that a better place can be found for same price, we did not take breakfast as it was not included in the price

This hotel has a good location close to the central train station, right across from the S-bahn and not far from Tivoli. That's as much good as I can say about the hotel itself. Rooms are fairly large, but extremely outdates (save for a flat screen tv). Furniture is spartan and worn out. Room cleanliness extremely suspect - we found... More

We have just returned from a long weekend in Copenhagen and stayed here. Arrived quite early, so couldn't check in but had left luggage room, which was secure. Checked in around 2pm. Room on 4th floor, with city view and bath. Room was smallish but had everything you could want. Bath shower, tv coffee/tea facilities and large bed with memory... More

It was my first stay at this hotel - I normally stay down the road at The Imperial but wanted to try this hotel as it was a good price. The room was on the small side but clean and perfectly nice. The bathroom was also clean but smelled very strongly of urine (likely due to old pipes), which was... More

Dear N K. Thanks for your review here at Tripadvisor. Unfortunately not a positive one, but more importantly it is something we, as a service company and hotel in Copenhagen, needs to take care of. I am deeply sorry for your experience at Copenhagen Mercur Hotel, and the level of service was not handled the way we want it to... More

Stayed in the hotel for 3 nights. On arrival, the lobby area was clean and staff were reasonably friendly and helpful, and we were checked in earlier than the stated check in time. The room was a double room facing the city and was superficially clean however there was a somewhat unpleasant musty odour which lingered in the room for... More

Good hotel for the price. Standard size rooms which are really clean. Basic amenities but very comfortable. The majority of the staff were really helpful and offered ideas for us to do. Good wi-fi and breakfast was decent. The best thing about the hotel is the location. Only a 5 minute walk from central station and easy walking distance from... More

Decided to book a weekend in Copenhagen to celebrate my 23rd birthday with friends. Overall the hotel is really nice and the rooms we stayed in were brilliant. Very clean, coffee machines in the room and the showers/bathrooms were amazing. My biggest disappointment was when we arrived at the hotel, we were there before 3pm check in to which we... More

The location of this hotel was otherwise OK, but the noises from the nearby railway kept bothering us. We could also hear our neighbours too well, so the walls weren't very thick. Our room was small and the master switch of the lighting was not in a very useful place. The mattresses were very bad, so sleeping in those beds... More

Staying in Indre By (Inner City)

Neighborhood Profile
Indre By (Inner City)
This is the heart of old town Copenhagen, with its blend of charming old buildings and bold new architecture, broad avenues and tiny streets as well as picturesque canals and a modern harbor. The inner city is home to the Royal Danish Theatre, which consists of three buildings, two of which are new and situated on the harbor front. The streets, squares and venues of the inner city and its surrounding neighborhoods, are alive all year round with everything from jazz festivals to outdoor ice skating rinks and parachuting at the lakes right in the center of the city. This compact area boasts beautiful old castles, tranquil parks, and bustling squares where you can always find a bench to stretch out your legs whenever you need a break.
