The weather was relatively cool so the fact that airconditioning did not exist was not a major factor...fans were available. We booked the water side because we thought this would be quieter for leaving our windows open and a better view. The Saturday night noise level was very high from the restaurant and an "artistic" display that allowed people to... More

We loved this hotel. It is on the waterfront in Copenhagen just a block from where you can take the tour boats. It is an old commercial building that has been renovated into a hotel. The lobby and our room had huge beams that added lots of character. Our room looked out over the water. While we paid extra for... More

Found this hotel on Expedia at a very good price (about $135/night, which seems to be a steal for Copenhagen). Liked the waterfront/Nyhaven location, though it involves a bit of walking to the Stroget. Room wasn't ready until about 3pm, which was a pain after a transatlantic flight, but not the end of the world. The room was spacious (but... More

Very nice hotel and especially very historic and room was very comfortable. Historical sites are in walking distance and lots of dining places. Staff very helpful and courteous towards every customer. Internet service in the lobby is free (limited time). Ambient of the hotel is very nice.

The Admiral Hotel does not live up to it´s image. Even though we were up-graded to a junior suite, which was nice, we were not overly impressed. The bathroom had not been redecorated for years, there was no air-condition, no view etc. The hotel is not very child-friendly. I would not recommend this hotel to people travelling with children. The... More

I would recommend the Admiral Hotel. It was a lovely hotel although a bit pricier than we normally pay. But it seems that everything is pricey in Denmark. The location is great - right on the waterfront and you can walk to all the sights in the city. However be warned that it is not airconditioned and being on the... More

a nice walk to almost everywhere you'd want to go- the little mermaid is right down the waterfront promenade in Nyhavn- near the canal boats, great restaurants including the latest by Chef Bo Bech( "Geist") ' shopping (Stroget- car-free) Rosenborg Castle,National Museum, Tivoli to name a few- romantic rooms and great breakfast buffet with everything- fruit with yogurt and granola,... We had no problems with the front desk. They were very busy but fine. We arrived early (10:00) so room was not available. Luggage put in ticketed and locked baggage store. We got breakfast there because it was raining. Expensive but very extensive buffet. Room was free by 11:00. I also don't understand any complaints with the rooms. Our room... More

Unlike some reviewers, we had no problems with the front desk. They were fine. I also don't understand any complaints with the rooms. I shared a room with two twin beds with my friend for five days. The room was spacious. It even fit a little couch. The beds were comfortable. It was quiet. I slept well. Everything was clean,... More

We stayed in the Admiral for five nights in July to take in my husbands birthday, dinner at Noma, tourist highlights such as Carlsberg and Tivoli and the Take That concert at Parken on Saturday 16th. Unfortunately, the concert was cancelled but everything else about our stay was a great success. I have been to Copenhagen before but stayed elsewhere... More
