Stayed at The Admiral in mid July; the hotel is an old warehouse and former hospital so full of character and interest. However I was given a room on the top floor (6th) with an upper level bedroom. I am sure that in the winter it would be great but in high summer, it was stiflingly hot. After some discussion,... More

Good location with walking distance to most attractions. Thats about it for the good. Stayed in the "family rooms" - small and stuffy with no AC and will get hot in the summer. Dated blue carpets and tiny bathroom. Hotel is very busy and feels like a bus station. If you have a car there are a limited few spaces... More

We stayed at the Admiral prior to a fjord cruise. Many weeks before, the Nimb and some others were booked up, and we chose the Admiral based on a combo of ratings and location. I have to say that the hotel, although not cheap, delivered well. The location is right on the harbor, with lots of ships in sight and... More

This hotel is full of character, the rooms have an individual style built in to an ancient mill. Overall hotel impression has a quality feel and the dated room décor didn't detract from my stay, it even added a bit a character. Much better than major hotel chains which I try and avoid if possible. Bar has a great atmosphere... More

Very well situated, on the way to the mermaid, beautiful terrace. Unfortunately, a lot of noise, even the saturday morning, due to the work of the quay (craddles, trucks), and at night a lot of music coming from the other side of the canal "Paperoen" till 1 o clock !and no airco. Anyway an excellent hotel to stay, I recommend... More

Small rooms with no air conditioning and such thin walls that we hear the person staying in the room next to us snoring at night. The room was very hot and we had to keep the window open and were not able to sleep due to noise coming from the street. Almost a nightmare (almost because we were not able... More

Great location for tourists...walking distance to Nyhavn etc. no a/c so noisy if you have windows open. Rooms large and efficiently set out....nice size but a bit dark. Check in and out very efficient. A great place is you are starting or finishing a cruise out of Copenhagen. Busy.

We have stayed at this hotel many times. It is a nice hotel and is in a great location with easy access to Nyhavn which has good food and bars, the shopping street is about a 5 minute walk from the hotel, Amalienborg Palace and the little mermaid are just a short walk along the waterfront from the hotel.

Location is great - short walk from the Metro, nice neighbourhood. Hotel sits alongside a working harbor. Staff pleasant and helpful. If you like staying in historical properties, this place may be for you. Our room had two comfortable twin beds, a small couch, chair, built-in desk, a sliding glass door with a harbor view and two standing closets. Plus... More

This hotel is located right on the docks, across the street from Amalienborg Palace (the royal residence and museum), about midway between the Little Mermaid Statue and Nyhaven (picturesque canal lined with cafes) on the opposite side of the city from the Central Station and Tivoli Gardens. The building is a huge old stone warehouse with rustic wooden beams on... More
