This hotel is in a fantastic location! Right across the road from Tivoli Gardens, a 2-minute walk to the start of the longest shopping street in Europe and a 15-minute walk to the Royal Palace, Botanic gardens and many other noteworthy sights. Tivoli was closed while we were there (we hadn't realised it closes between December and April), so we'll... More

Its an old hotel, keep that in mind. Its ok, its not great. The selling point is the location, you cant get a more central hotel. Its close to everything including transfer and Tivoli. If you are looking for luxuary living, this isnt what your looking for. If your looking for a place to sleep while you spend your days... More

We choose to stay at the Scandic Palace hotel for a second time because of the great location and value for money. The hotel is a 3 minute or so walk from the central station and walking distance to the main shopping area. We were upgraded from a deluxe bedroom to a junior suite which we were delighted at. The... After a long travel day, it was nice to get to our destination. We were excited about this hotel based on the reviews but it did not live up to our expectations. We had requested a bath tub but the first room given to us had only a shower. The room was nice but not a whole lot of space.... More

A more than 100 yrs old hotel, but off course the bathroom is renovated to modern standard. You see that in the corridor there is enormous amount of space compared to modern buildings. I really loved that 1 switch shut down the bathroom lights and 1 switch took the living room. I hate when I have to run around in... More

I am surprised that this hotel is a 4 star - honestly I don't think it is much better than a 3 star. All of the public areas look a bit shabby and worn and our room was certainly not as stylish as the ones in the photos. The other big complaint is that there is an incredibly loud bell... More

No room service so not convenient for business trips when you have to work in your room Location is good Almost no service Breakfast is awesome Try to avoid 1st floor, you may hear some noise from the street (some bars and restaurants) Big hotel but not very charming, I do not think I'll go back. They need to refurbish... More

Stayed here for 3 nights and had a pleasant stay. The hotel is located just beside Raadhusplassen and is ideal to explore the city ( near Strøget, Tivoli, Kødbyen). I would recommend to upgrade to a superior room, which are spacious and ours had a separate toilet and shower. The size around 35 sqm. The breakfast was quite good and... More

We were here for a weekend in Copenhagen, thanks to its central location we could walk into town and from/to the main railway station. Our room was nice and clean, comfortable bed and a pillows. The breakfast was good, though quite busy and difficult to find a table after 9am. That aside, the variety of food available was great. Very... More

Dear InspirationLondon, I’d like to thank you for reviewing us from your latest visit at Scandic Palace. As you noticed and commented on our breakfast room isn’t the largest and in addition to the fact that breakfast is included in all our rates it’s very popular. Due to this at time we can experience a little bit of a challenge... More

Staying in Indre By (Inner City)

Neighborhood Profile
Indre By (Inner City)
This is the heart of old town Copenhagen, with its blend of charming old buildings and bold new architecture, broad avenues and tiny streets as well as picturesque canals and a modern harbor. The inner city is home to the Royal Danish Theatre, which consists of three buildings, two of which are new and situated on the harbor front. The streets, squares and venues of the inner city and its surrounding neighborhoods, are alive all year round with everything from jazz festivals to outdoor ice skating rinks and parachuting at the lakes right in the center of the city. This compact area boasts beautiful old castles, tranquil parks, and bustling squares where you can always find a bench to stretch out your legs whenever you need a break.
