We have just returned from a two day stay before our Baltic cruise then another two day stay at the end of same. The location of this hotel makes it possible to enjoy the feel of the center of this wonderful city. Many attractions and the Central train station are iwithin very comfortable walking distance. The rooms were compact but... more

LOCATION: Good location. Most of Copenhagen is reachable by foot. ROOM: We got a newly renovated room. Well worth it because the other rooms were very old. STAFF: Staff was polite. HOTEL: The hotel is an old building. Only 25% of the renovations were completed when we stayed in 2007. Not sure what it looks like now. We stayed when... more

We were on holiday with our grown up children. We booked this hotel of the internet. It has been refurbished to a very high standard. We had a deluxe double which had a king size bed. There were 2 walk in wardrobes. The bathroom was a very good size with a bath & shower. Our children's room was of a... more

Thankfully, the exterior of the Palace Hotel is still intact after the recent renovation of the hotel. And it is a beautiful Art Noveau building. But what they did to the interior is just horrific. The rooms have been done over in a poor man's "W" hotel style. But it just doesn't work. Our room, which was a sufficiently large... more

We stayed at the newly minted Scandic hotel for a week after Easter. I had booked the hotel room through Expedia in January when the Le Meridian group were still completing extensive renovation of the hotel. We got a great rate on the hotel, probably because of the renovations and some negative reviews of the property resulting from the renovations.... more

This Hotel is now Scandic Palace Hotel and is newly renovated. I have some negative experiences and a lot of positive experiences when staying here. Negative: The windows are not double glazed and there is a clock tower with a very loud bell that can be irritating. Don't try to sleep before midnight and after 8 AM. The beds could... more

This hotel now belongs to the Scandic group and as fully renovated as far as I could see... I was upgraded to one of the superior rooms with balcony towards the square.... Nice view and still no noise from outside as the door was closed and curtains pulled shut... The room was really large and it had a walk-in closet...... more

The hotel was taken over by the Scandic hotel group on 1st April 2009 so it is now called 'The Scandic Palace Hotel' rather than 'La Meridian Palace Hotel'. We stayed for 5 nights over Easter in April 2009 and we thought the hotel was Fantastic! It was very comfortable and the location was excellent - the city and sights... more

We have just returned from a 3 night stay in Copenhagen and would totally recommend this hotel. Its a 4-5 min stroll from central station, right in the very centre of the city. Tivoli is opposite the hotel, the sightseeing tours leave from directly outside the hotel - Stroget shopping st is 2 mins round the corner, Nyhavn approx 11-12... more

We had read the bad reviews but the renovations are almost over and we got a great price on expedia. Our checkin was very prompt. Our room on the fourth floor was at the back of the building and mainly quiet, but the soundproofing to the next room TV is not 100%. The room had been recently renovated, was exceptionally... more
