We stayed at the Absalon Annex the night before heading to Roskilde Music Festival. We chose it based on previous trip advisor reviews. We booked a double room with shared facilities (cheapest). We found the hotel easily as it is very close to Copenhagen Central Station - however it is also in the red light district and there were prostitutes... more

Absalon Annex is a cheap hotel but it is not one of those small seedy hotels next to main railwaystations in Europe. It is actually rather big one and looks a bit like basic chain hotels. The hotel is clean as was the room though rather small one (for 1 person). I personally had nothing but good experiences with the... more

So i decided to take a trip to Denmark the cheapest way possible, easyjet flights from Stansted, cheapest hotel on expedia... thats the Absalon. The Hotel is literally two minutes walk from the main Copenhagen railway station and 10 mins slow walk to all the shops and squares. Be aware though that the hotel is located close to the red... more

Were there 4 days. Streetside room, though quiet at night. room was big, beds/ sheets ok. Little worn out carpet. Unfortunately the best deal in town. The breakfast buffet was awesome! more

I think this is best summed up in terms of our likes and dislikes. Likes: - Breakfast - Staff - Location - The provided internet and other tourist-centric facilities Dislikes: - The stench of cigarette smoke ingrained in our room Could make do with: - The lack of an ensuite Since all of our "likes" were in the Absalon proper,... more

I stayed at this hotel for two nights while in transit to Sweden. Well, I was initially made quite wary by some reviews here, suggesting the hotel looked more like a slum than a decent place to stay in - I thought, perhaps this might only be a little bit of undue exaggeration by the more fastidious around us. But... more

I stayed at the Absalon Annex for 2 nights out of a one month trip to Europe. I knew before I left that Copenhagen was an expensive place, and my research into hotels yielded some really expensive options. Instead, I searched for a highly recommended hostel. The Absalon Annex had great reviews so I booked it, not really knowing what... more

I stayed five nights in the Annex, which is the budget part of the hotel. It was a great deal considering how expensive Copenhagen is. The Absalon is a few blocks from the train station and only steps to Tivoli and Stroget. Although the area is in the red light district, as a female solo traveler, I found it completely... more

The location is good, close to the railway station. But it is also right next to istegade, the ´"red light district", didn´t bother me, though someone would maybe like to know that. The rooms are small, stairways narrow, and there are only 4 bathrooms and 2 showers shared with about 16 rooms. The shower room, is really small it is... more

I stayed here for three nights in August, during the last week of the high season, paying about £50 a night for a single (booked last minute). When I checked in, they offered me an upgrade to a better room with private bathroom for an additional 150 kroners (about £14) and when I declined, they dropped the price to 100... more
