Everything worked nicely. Yes, it was not a luxury hotel, but rooms were nice, security was perfect, rooms clean, staff friendly, free wireless internet, all transport nearby, shopping centers in walking distance. And very frienldy breakfast buffee! Before going to Copenhagen i had read warning comments about red lights distrect near Selandia, but no action on streets, only some advertising... more

I arrived for the first time in Copenhagen by train from the airport directly to Central Station. I would not waste time or money with a cab. The train is efficient, clean, safe and got there in 15minutes. It is a walk of about 15m to the hotel. However you have to walk through a red light district of men/... more

Selandia offers some of the lowest prices in Copenhagen, hostels excluded. But it shows! Amenities are very limited, with most rooms having only a pair of twin beds and a small sink. Toilets and showers are shared amongst guests, with one toilet and one shower per floor. Thankfully it's a small hotel, so I never had to wait in line... more

A pleasant unassuming hotel. Excellent Reception staff who do all they can to help - even to the point of letting guests behind the counter to do some confidential photocopying. more

We had seen mixed guest reviews on the internet about Selandia so it is with a bit of trepidation that we booked this place. My wife and I stayed here 8th - 12th June 2009, the last leg of our summer trip to Europe. The Vesterbro area gets some publicity in the web as an area that was known only... more

My mother and I came to Copenhagen for a 2 night city break to see a show I've always wanted to see and before hand we obviously had to book a hotel. We looked at Hotel Selandia and saw that there were 3 types of rooms - Economy (bed and telly and that's about it), Standard (bit bigger room with... more

Arrived late in the evening with my daughter but man at counter couldn't have been more helpful. Room was basic but comfortable and warm. Free wireless was great. Due to my daughter losing her passport we had to stay 2 extra days and the staff went out of their way to assist and comfort. The location is very handy to... more

Locating at the former red light district of the city, so you can imagine that the environment is not quite decent. However, it's price is competitive in comparision to other hotels around the area. Despite a bit old facility, the hotel stuff are friendly and breakfast is nice. more

A good value hotel in a convenient location. Just two blocks from the train station. Dont be put off by the hookers and dodgy looking characters on the street it is safe. The staff were friendly and the room and bathrooms clean. The breakfasts were good with the danishes fantastic. There is always a floor show going on at night... more
