We had seen mixed guest reviews on the internet about Selandia so it is with a bit of trepidation that we booked this place. My wife and I stayed here 8th - 12th June 2009, the last leg of our summer trip to Europe. The Vesterbro area gets some publicity in the web as an area that was known only... more
My mother and I came to Copenhagen for a 2 night city break to see a show I've always wanted to see and before hand we obviously had to book a hotel. We looked at Hotel Selandia and saw that there were 3 types of rooms - Economy (bed and telly and that's about it), Standard (bit bigger room with... more
Arrived late in the evening with my daughter but man at counter couldn't have been more helpful. Room was basic but comfortable and warm. Free wireless was great. Due to my daughter losing her passport we had to stay 2 extra days and the staff went out of their way to assist and comfort. The location is very handy to... more

Locating at the former red light district of the city, so you can imagine that the environment is not quite decent. However, it's price is competitive in comparision to other hotels around the area. Despite a bit old facility, the hotel stuff are friendly and breakfast is nice. more
A good value hotel in a convenient location. Just two blocks from the train station. Dont be put off by the hookers and dodgy looking characters on the street it is safe. The staff were friendly and the room and bathrooms clean. The breakfasts were good with the danishes fantastic. There is always a floor show going on at night... more
We very much enjoyed our three nights in this hotel. It was very easy to find and we caught a train from the airport, Platform 2 and it was only three stops. It only cost approx £6. When leaving the station, leave on the left hand side and the hotel is more or less facing you. We found that nearly... more
We stayed here purely for one nights accommodation - we were arriving into Copenhagen in the afternoon and leaving at about 7am the next morning so we only wanted somewhere clean to rest our heads, which was exactly what we got. Was terrific value for money (though I think we were given a room upgrade so not sure what the... more
We arrived at the selandia hotel in Copenhage at midnight on the 6th Dec 2007.We had booked 2 twin rooms and 1 single room, when we got to the rooms the twin rooms were actually double beds and it was 2 ladies sharing (cosy) the rooms smelt of smoke and were not very clean. We decided between ourselves that there was no... more
