The hotel wanted us to return keys to reception every time we left the hotel, but they had no clue whatsoever who belonged to which room. I got the wrong key to somebody elses room twice!!! Otherwise - location and breakfast was great, rooms were ok.

Very good location and nice small hotel. Friendly staff. The lobby is also used as a bar and breakfast room. Feel likes home. They also have a tapasrestaurant. The localtion is close to Ströget and Torvehallarna.

We stayed a long weekend as a couple. I have stayed at Ibsens previously with a good friend, both times the stay was wonderful. The room we stayed in was clean and airy, the bed was fabulous and everything was well thought out in terms of layout of the room. Breakfast was delcious - they have excellent yoghurts and bread... It was our first visit to Copenhagen, so we didn't know the city at all, but knew we wanted to be centrally located and near easy metro access, so we chose Ibsens. 5 nights really gives one the chance to "settle in" to a hotel. The hotel ticks all the functional boxes of comfortable beds, clean rooms, nice bathrooms, etc.,... More

From the start when you arrive in the reception/ bar/ breakfast area it feels like a nice hotel. Modern and colourful and with very frequently faces greeting you. Then you get to the room, a special junior suite rate, which what being lovely and spacious let's the hotel down. Don't get me wrong, it's not disastrous but the bathroom is... More

Dear Jonny Thank you for your review. It’s so nice to read about your first impression. We also love the atmosphere in the lounge area ourselves  Regarding the bathrooms, we agree, they are not modern in style. We will soon improve the bath rooms amenities as well as we will add coffe & tea facilities to the rooms, even... More

Modern and attractive medium sized hotel aimed at normal travelling humans and not corporates. Very comfortable lounge area, free glass of wine between 5-6pm, good shower, comfy beds, clean. We didn't have breakfast because the lovely food hall is three minutes away and the Coffee Collective at stall C1 makes fabulous coffee. Close to metro. Go stay.

Stayed in the Ibsens hotel in August 2014. I had booked a medium room, which was just large enough for 1 person. The room/bathroom would have been too small for 2, with too few storage space. The breakfast is superb. Also enjoyed the 'happy hour' and Italian restaurants.

Hotel with nicely designed lobby and rooms, very conveniently located close to Nørreport station (Metro, bus, local trains) and many nice restaurants around. And: The fastest internet access I had for years in hotels. The bathroom amenities could be a little bit less minimalistic and the breakfast is quite expensive - grab your latte and porridge at the nearby Torvehallerne.

Dear Joachim Thank you so much for your review. We are very glad to know that you liked our hotel. And especially that you mention our fast WiFi. We have been working for a while on making the WiFi super fast. We have a very large fiber optic connection at our hotels, but last year we had some trouble getting... More
