Very centrally located within walking distance of the town centre and all the main sights. Rooms are small but clean and comfortable. The staff were helpful and courteous. Plenty of reasonable restaurants close by. Reasonable rates for Copenhagen considering its location. Highly recommended. more

This hotel was good for the price paid. It was a neat and clean room, although not much to look at. The furniture is a little old, but the location made up for it. Only a few blocks from the Metro station and a couple of blocks from the canals that were great for walks. The bathroom was very small... more

Overall a great hotel for a weekend break Good Bits: * I thought the inclusive breakfast buffet was a real bonus and although it was mainly cold food (fruit, hams, cheese, pastries etc) it was perfect for the hot sunny weather * Great location for sightseeing, a short walk from the main shopping street with one of the city's many... more

I booked this hotell for a bussines trip since the hotell was located very close to organisation that I was going to visit. The physical location of the hotell with respect to the "city centre" is satisfying in my view. Also, not SO much traffic noise and some restaurants in the vicinity. The breakfast was good and was included. The... more

Its not a bad hotel overall, its not the most modern and luxurious but it is clean and comfortable and it is in a good location to see the sights. We satyed there from Dec 31st to Jan 3, when we arrived at 10 am our room wasn't ready until 1 pm. the lady behind reception gave us a visitors... more

do not stay in this hotel. the room i booked (a superior double)was 'unavailable' when i stayed. As two mates sharing i booked twin singles, non smoking, we were offered a double smoking. We finally got a standard twin. The room was very old, cheap and tatty. The heating was broke in our room. After waiting nearly an hour there... more

We've stayed at Ibsens in 2000 and again in 2007, and it's still a good value despite Scandinavia's escalating costs. Centrally located, clean and cozy rooms, a great breakfast buffet and friendly (although busy) staff. 15 - 20 minute walk to city center or Tivoli. Very convenient to and from Copenhagen's Kastrup airport. Norreport station is a 10 minute-5 block... more

My husband and I spent an enjoyable three nights at Ibsens at the end of a two-week visit to Sweden and Denmark. The hotel was a little bigger (over 100 rooms) than the usual 'character hotels' we like to stay in but this meant there were added facilities like a pleasant lounge (free tea/coffee after dinner) and a lot of... more

Was due to stay here for 3 nights but booking was messed up and only stayed first night. Meant one had to sleep on the floor. Receptionists were not helpful in finding a new place to stay. Hotel itself is in an excellent location and that is the main perk of this place, although most hotels are within easy walking... more

This hotel was booked for us by our hosts so we didn't know what to expect. The Ibsens was a very nice hotel in a great location. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Here are the pluses: 1) great and helpful staff, 2) fantastic breakfast, 3) fabulous location, near the Norrebro station and near the channel, and 4) free wireless internet... more
