I stayed at this hotel on a recent business trip to Copenhagen. My coworkers knew about the trip before I did, and booked the Admiral hotel at a very good rate. By the time I checked, it was already completely booked, so I looked into very nearby options (as we'd have to drive into our meetings together). Out of the... more

Stayed here over New Year and would recommend it. Pluses are the good location, the genuinely helpful staff, the excellent room service and the free minibar (a particularly nice touch). Our room was pleasant; not huge (and sadly no bath) but quite comfortable and, as you would expect, stylishly decorated. A couple of minuses sadly - we were allocated a... more

Visited Scandic Front in Ciy Center of Copenhagen, Denmark in May -09. It is newly opened in the regime of Scandic, but has been a hotel for some time. We arrived by lunchtime and got a room in the smokingarea, even though I specifically booked a non smoking room. My husband and I went for a walk along the quay... more

We stayed 4 days during the Xmas period in the Front. First impressions: young, hip and modern but still with all amenities you expect from a classy hotel. Rooms are nice with great beds and Barcelona chairs (!). Bathroom was really cool with a big rainshower head and plenty of Kiehl's cosmetic products. Location is perfect: close to the water... more

Copenhagen hotels are comparably expensive. If you get a good rate at the Front, this may be the right choice for you. Location is perfect (quite, only a few minutes away from the shopping area by foot, next door to the Nyhaven and just opposite the opera [watertaxi to and from the opera from the Admiral Hotel next door]). The... more

Actually, the date of my stay was July 1988, and the Hotel was named the Sofie Amalie. Seeing pictures of the renovation, and the room I stayed in it seems, it looks pleasant enough with a Scandinavian decor. The room I must say was tiny, but I liked the big windows, although when I looked out one evening, it was... more

I stayed in the hotel with lots of my friends to celebrate my 40th birthday. The receptionist very extremely helpful and polite. Nothing was too much trouble and they all went out of their way to make me and my guests feel welcome. I also received fruit and Jellybeans for my birthday courtesy of the Management - nice touch. When... more

I have stayed at The Front a couple of times and its a very comfortable hotel. Rooms are not that large (at least not the singles) but clean and very comfy beds. Added bonus is the Kiels toiletries and the amazing monsoon shower. However I feel the corridores etc are a little tired as is the lift and the hotel... more

This hotel is really mediocre. I have been going to Copenhagen for years, used to stay at d'Angleterre, and most recenty the Skt Petri. Inexplicably I booked Front instead of the other two on a recent trip. I would avoid this hotel for the following reasons. 1. Noise. The ceilings and walls are extremely thin. We had to move room... more

The location is really good, just in Front (!) of the water and the beautiful Opera, ten minutes walking from the metro. The staff is very young and smiling, and everything in the entrance wants to remember you that you're now in a design hotel. The design: you can feel it. But you can feel also that the carpet in... more
