When checking into the Hotel Opera, you are told your room is one the 5th floor, pick up your bags and walk out of the door and find another hotel. The reason is the lift (elevator) only goes to the 4th floor. So if you have any more luggage than a backpack, you will carrying your bags up the stairs... More

Lovey, small, quiet hotel within only 5 mins walk from the bustling old port with its bars and restaurants. In the opposite direction, the shops and old town is only about 15 mins walk. The room could be described as gloomy, by some, or atmospheric and romantic by others! It was spacious and very comfortable. Breakfast each morning was copious... More

Hotel Opera is perfectly located for a bridge between arriving at the airport and leaving on a cruise. The easiest, least expensive, and most timely way to arrive is to take the metro. Usually I am very leery about running around town with luggage in tow and taking public transportation after a LONG flight. However, everyone recommended taking the metro,... More

Pre cruise layover in Copenhagen. The Hotel Opera worked out very well for us. Hotel was clean and comfortable, breakfast was excellent. Conveniently and centrally located near Metro. Staff was helpful. We can definitely recommend.

The best for this hotel is it's location. Right downtown of the city and just a few minutes from Kongens Nytorv metro station and from all the attractions. The building itself is very old and rooms are small. The furniture is kind of old too and the floor is creaky. No real view from the room, just anothjr building and... More

The most positive I can think of, when it comes to Hotel Opera is that the staff is very friendly, an that it is situated in the center of Copenhagen, with most things with in a walking distance. My room was very (!) small, old and squeaky with no place to place the luggage. In fact the hole hotel is... More

Hotel Opera is a "vintage", "typically European" hotel; creaky floors, "eccentric" plumbing, "classic" furnishings, tiny elevator... but clean, comfortable, quiet, helpful staff, and perfect location in Copenhagen. It is less than a block from the "old" Opera (now a performance theater), and two blocks from Nyhavn (where all of Copenhagen must meet), and close to the Metro and major bus... More

Hotel full of character, my room was a good size, bed linen must of been brand new. But the staff, oh the staff !! I have stayed at hotels all over the world from the dregs to 5 star, but the staff at the Opera are the best I have ever encountered in a hotel anywhere. Nothing was too much... More

Rooms are small but adequate, but within great walking distance of central Copenhagen. Breakfast not included, but they have a lovely dining area and buffet where you can purchase your morning meal. I don't think they serve dinner there. The front desk staff were very helpful. We had a mishap with our luggage and they went way above and beyond... More
