I liked staying at the Grand .I wouldn't say it's a 4 star hotel exactly, it is a little scruffy and the standard/attention to detail isn't quite up there, but the service is absolutely worth 4 stars. My friend and I stayed for two nights recently, the room was perfectly clean and had a good bed, a tv, a closet,... More

This was a fabulous place to stay! so close to anything/tours/bus pick-ups/ and the city in general! We were so happy. The room was AOK and The restaurant downstairs did a great breakfast for us - gluten-free to boot when we asked! (and this was 5 stars on its own!!!!!) plus the night-time dinners in true Italian style were Fab!... More

My daughter and I stayed at this hotel during our recent short break in Copenhagen. It's obviously one of the older hotels in the city and it doesn't have the shiny glitter of the new builds but it has everything you need for a really comfortable stay. We walked to the hotel in five minutes from the central rail station... More

My husband, my daughter and I have just spent a night at this hotel. The position is perfect, just 3 minutes walk from the Central station (yet, the Rooms are Incredibly quiet and the quality of sleep is therefore great), the staff at the reception was Incredibly friendly and helpful. The rooms are nice and clean and the bed is... More

I like the old character of the hotel, breakfast and its location. Although my room had no view (I could only see a wall with some windows), smelled smoke (I guess bad air conditioning) and had no refrigerator. Stuff is polite and also rooms are clean.

Myself and two brothers had the pleasure of staying at this hotel in early December. Our rooms were adequate size with a double bed plus a couch/bed. Breakfast was buffet style, with a great variety of hot and cold dishes. Reception staff were extremely friendly and very helpful. Will definitely stay at this hotel again.

Good location, easy to walk to most sights, but hotel is drab, cheap décor, rooms small, not in anyway a luxury hotel, more for a business over-night stay. Staff nice enough, but everything within the hotel is poor quality and expensive.

We stayed here on a very last minute trip to Copenhagen and it was ideal. The reception staff were particularly welcoming, friendly and helpful - recommendations for what to see, bus routes we needed, booking restaurants ahead for us etc. Our room was fine - no great view but we weren't there for that, comfy bed, warm, and large enough... Hotel is next to the central station. There are restaurants and bars in the area and it is only a short walk from Tivoli gardens. The bus stop for the free bus to the Zoo or Carlsberg factory is only across the road from the hotel as well. The room wasn't the biggest but it was big enough. It was... More

Staying in Inner Vesterbro

Neighborhood Profile
Inner Vesterbro
This neighbourhood is home to Tivoli Gardens, a world famous amusement park and beautiful garden always worth a visit. Just west of Tivoli, you’ll find Copenhagen Central Station, from where you can reach just about every part of Denmark within 5 or 6 hours, or you can reach Copenhagen Airport in less than 15 minutes. Next to the Central Station, you’re in the middle of “old” Vesterbro, where several cultures and hundreds of languages are spoken in an area not more than one square mile. This neighbourhood is considered one of the most trendy places to live in and to visit in Copenhagen. For a real treat, visit Kødbyen ("meat town"), home to several restaurants, cafés and nightclubs, all within a short walk of each other.
