This is an old hotel, with a splendid location in a marvelous city. Our room was small but tolerable, with acceptable hygiene, small bathroom with tub and shower. The noise level was OK. The floors in the hotel are uneven, I suppose because of the advanced age of the building. The killer for me was the tiny closet, with a... More

A lovely hotel, with easy access to many important tourist attractions and the main shopping center. The staff is very friendly, the breakfest good. The room was clean but very small, and the mattress on the bed too soft for us.

3 weeks in this hotel for training and it was excellent. Service is like a 5 stars hotel. Every staffs are very help full. The room is nice and the bed is good. Very nice bathrooms. The breakfast is good but after 2 weeks it was the same foods so maybe it's only the negative points. The restaurant is good... More

First impressions are amazing. The hotel has charm and grace of years gone by but with some modern touches. The service and breakfast were excellent. My only concern was the condition of the guest rooms. Soiled carpets and linens with threads coming loose. But the location is excellent and the overall atmosphere made up for the short comings.

I stayed at this hotel for a business trip and I must say the location of the hotel was great! It is near Nyhavn port so lots of dining options and a great neighborhood to walk around in. It was also about a 10 minute walk to the metro station! The breakfast (which was included for our stay) was very... More

I stayed at the Phoenix for a week in a single room the size of a match box. Such are the single rooms at this hotel. I did ask to change to another matchbox since I asked for the top floor and got a room just beneath the attic. The interior is shabby, the room maid didn't clean the room... More

This is an old classic venue in Copenhagen- a nice place once, now tired and needing a big old refresh. Still polished and efficient with good old fashioned service and quality - but a few million needed to put a new face on required. Good stay, good sleep, nice beds.

We thought that our hotel experience was great. Our only concern was the lack of accessibility. For us it become a problem since we had to lift our daughter's trolly up and down the stairs. Can only imagine that more people find this troubling. However we truly recommend the hotel, especially with its' location and service minded staff.

Excellent location! Close to charming Nyhavn, a few minutes walk to the shops and Strøget and the beautiful park Kongens Have close by. The hotel offers distinguished charm from bygone days. The close proximity to the royal palace is reflected in the buildings and surrounding area and the room’s Scandinavian furniture mirrors this époque. Rooms come in various sizes to... More
