Second time staying at this hotel. It has a great location for me when coming for business (very close to the local office of my company) otherwise it's still good with 5 min walk to Kongens Nytorg, great staff that always are helpful and smiling. The rooms are a bit olds, but nice. Got an upgrade this time even without... More

Feels a bit like a pre revolutionary French palace and I am not sure that's a good thing. The hotel has been very fancy. The service is excellent and there is a nice first storey terrace. Breakfast is good. The rooms are very tired and mine was cold and damp. People referred to it as the smelly Phoenix, which is... More

We spend last weekend at Hotel Phoenix, in Copenhagen. It was 2nd time we visit the hotel and once again it was really a nice and pleasant experience. Previously we have been staying at several hotels in Copenhagen, Hotel Phoenix is definitely the best. Very friendly and service-minded staff. Very comfortable, nice and clean rooms with plenty of atmosphere and... More

The Phoenix has a charming traditional feel to it - like an old french palace. It looks lovely from the street and has a spacious lobby area and warm friendly conscientious staff. We had standard rooms at the front of the hotel, overlooking the road. Bathroom was roomy and I always love it when there are luxurious toiletries - yummy... More

This is a grand building that clearly used to be something very special. Today it is something of a relic. It is clean enough, and the facilities are ok but it the single rooms are TINY and surprisingly basic for such a grand old building. The bed is the smallest i have slept in since i was a kid, but... The room (executive) was spacious and nicely furnished but Cleaning wasn't a 100%. The rest of the hotel (breakfast room, looby etc) was extremly worn down and it wasn't clean either. Breakfast buffet was ok. Service was also ok. So nothing special to this hotel, but ok value for money located at Nyhavn.

This was my first visit to the Phoenix, I normally stay nearer the centre. The hotel is good for the harbour/Nyhavn area. The hotel was friendly but in need of updating. My room, was difficult to find, owing to strange numbering, but was located, on the subsided side of the hotel! This meant that the bathroom door slammed shut on... More

Dear Traveller, Thank you for your business visit at Phoenix Copenhagen in September 2014. We are glad to hear that you liked our location, breakfast and our friendly staff. Cosy rooms in an older building with uneven floors, nice Louis XVI-style furniture,a comfortable bed and a lovely bathroom with a bathtub. Typical Copenhagen feeling, looking out over old buildings and the castle. We'll be back!

The hotel is well positioned in central Copenhagen, but it goes down hill from here. Its tired decor was reflected in the atmosphere vacuum of the bar and restaurant. My single room in the loft space was cold on arrival, although the noisy radiator did warm it up quickly. The bed's headboard was not connected to anything so rattled when... More

Central and good location. Right in the center, nice staff, delicious breakfast and walking distance to all amenities. Classic hotel, silent at night if you book a room towards the backyard. A lot of restaurants and shopping right around the corner.
