Spent 7 nights at the Phoenix Hotel last week, on part work/part leisure trip. No real idea about the hotel, it was booked for me by my hosts as it was close their office, and we paid the last two nights. Location wise it was superb, it is walking distance to much anyone would want to see or do in... More

I stayed for three nights for business purpose. It is a typical European hotel, small room and a single bed. I stayed at a room with a bathtub, which is sometimes not available in European hotels. I would recommend this hotel if you want to be close to the old city center.

We visited Copenhagen as part of our International Sommeliers Competition and the Phoenix was the host hotel. It's very dated and the bedrooms are very small - this was a common comment from several of our delegates. Our room overlooked the rear service yard which was noisey when bottles were being discharged. Service in the bar at night was slow... More

I traveled a lot and saw several boutique or charming hotels. Phoenix is one of the best I ever seen in Europe. Staff is very friendly and helpful. Rooms are charming, if you like old furnitures and old style decor it's the place to stay. Very nice breakfast, good located vis-à-vis of the centre and clean. Price/quality very good compared... We considered the hotel Very Good because the location is wonderful for walkers - very close to Nyhavn, Amelienborg, Mermaid, Tivoli, etc. We walked to all of them. Breakfast buffet is extensive and good BUT watch out - we scored a great room rate booking on the internet, then found upon arrival that breakfast would NOT be included. Plan on... More

We couldn't ask for a better location. close to the canals and shopping. Priced good. It was over 80 degrees when we stayed there and the room air conditioner was not capable to completely cool the room when it was that warm but it was bearable. If the front desk would have been friendlier I would not have minded the... More

I had booked the hotel for a short Business trip for a couple of days. My room was a Single Room and once I went in, I figured out that its the smallest room I have ever stayed in. No space to walk around literally, all you can do is jump onto the bed. The staff were however very friendly... More

We stayed one night at the Phoenix. Great location but very tired interior and staff. The room was small (superior double at $300/night) located on the noisy Bredgade. Sleepless night due to traffic and sirens. Generally speaking a very, very tired hotel - needs serious updating in order to bring on par with other hotels in its class. Staff were... More

I needed a place just for breakfast. I called the evening before to ask if this was possible not being a hotel guest. Not a problem and when I arrived the next morning they had a quiet table reserved for me. They knew I was coming. The place was busy but the waiters took time to attend to me and... More
