Its true there is a building site outside - but it shuts down at around 4 (Denmark hours :) so in the winter you can't see it anyway. & its also true that reception closes - but only at midnight - so no big problem there for most of us. But the overall impression is of a spacious, quiet civilised... More

Stay is a wonderful hotel - extremely modern design, with excellent facilities for guests. These are apartments, with kitchen & laundry, so are ideal for longer stays. Using the kitchen to save money on eating out was a very nice benefit. The rooms are very austere, but this is in keeping with Danish design sensibilities, so despite some comments from... More

Wanted to love this hotel. The Penthouses are great for families with washers and dryers, kitchens, comfortable beds. The negatives are that there is very little light in the rooms and so they are always pretty dark. Access is through the outside to each 7 story tower of rooms. The location is difficult if you have activities planned with others because... More

This is not a real hotel. These are apartment lofts (unfinished apartments), there is a receptions only during day and evening and you have to go on the street again to reached the 'rooms'. Everything is 'unfinished' to start when you arrive in the garage. The sign posting how to get out of the garage to the reception is next... More

The hotel is very pleasant, rooms (studios) really spacious and well equipped but at after midnight you don't expect to be kept awake with load noise and partying in what is a hotel with families staying. Staff ineffectual at stopping any noise or activity. Our advice is don't stay here if you want to be able to sleep after midnight... More

Wow, this place was awesome! My wife and stayed her for 5 nights (October 2015) and loved every minute of it. It was like having your own loft apartment with loads of room amenities, i.e. full kitchen including all required kitchen ware, washer/dryer, microwave, stove, etc. Wifi worker great and the beds were very cozy! The space was extremely spacious... More

We selected Stay Copenhagen after a lot of deliberation. I had been through all the available options in Copenhagen and the reviews for most were fair and the pictures of rooms looked a bit dodgy. Stay Copenhagen fitted the bill (although a bit pricey) with good average review scores and looked fancy. The main concern was that the location was... More

The location is great - there is a waterfront view and the city centre is easily accessible: either by walking (30 mins), or by bus (bus stop is 1 minute from hotel and a 10 minute ride) or by harbour ferry bus (4 minutes from hotel). We loved the apartment. It was one very large room with kitchenette and bathroom... More

Nice and very well appointed apartment located in Islands Brygge. The reception staff was very friendly and the apartment had everything we needed to have a relaxed couple of days in Copenhagen. Good price-benefit ratio (though at 200€ per night it cannot be considered cheap). The area has a lot of construction going on, but we couldn't hear any noise... More

A great apartment in a new stylish building. One large room with a corner pod comprising the bathroom and kitchen. Very minimalist Danish style. White walls, floor and ceiling, black furniture. Full height full width windows (currently) giving a panoramic view of the harbour. BUT -in the 100m space between you and the water is a gigantic building site about... More

Staying in Amager

Neighborhood Profile
Amager
In the eastern part of this neighbourhood, visitors will discover Amager Strandpark, a beach area which has become increasingly popular. It’s only a 30 minute bicycle ride or a 10 minute Metro trip away from the city center. Only a few hundred yards inland, some of the most creative musicians, artists, and writers in Copenhagen are occupying some of the old storage houses and production facilities. The western part is one of Copenhagen's most rapidly evolving areas, here you’ll find international architecture of the highest rank, the state of the art TV-Byen (the Danish pendant to BBC), a golf course as well as Copenhagen's best (and tiniest) ice bar.
