On the last day of our vacation, we stayed here to be near the airport without staying in a generic hotel. It was a good choice. The owner was very friendly and helpful, ensuring that wifi was working well for us, recommending a good restaurant in the area, and preparing an excellent breakfast. The public rooms are clean and inviting.... More

Really nice small hotel on sea front, business trip for me but so much nicer than usual business hotels, characterful with friendly, helpful owner and good continental breakfast. Recommended stop-over point for all. Tripadvisor seems to be insisting on 200 characters which is annoying hopefully happy now

Located in a very pleasant suburb a stone's throw from the airport and a couple of blocks from the metro, this quaint and comfortable hotel is the ideal place to stay when visiting Copenhagen. The metro runs 24 hrs a day and you can be downtown in 12 minutes. It makes such a difference to come back to a quiet... More

Beautiful boutique b&b with a homely, relaxed feel. Perfect location for seeing the city as it is close to the metro. Nothing was too much to ask, baby friendly, great breakfast and welcoming staff. We now need to buy Penny some Jez Alborough books - they had the biggest collection in the sitting room

We have stayed at the Ocean Hotel for one night during our trip between Lübeck and Oslo. The hotel was clean and the lady welcomed us nicely. It is located 20 minutes from Copenhagen downtown. We had the room with a terrasse, which seems to be the biggest one. Unfortunately we were woken up by the heavy traffic in front... More

How small can a hotel be? How small can a room be, and even smaller a bathroom? All of it works great in this wonderful place in this Copenhagen suburb, right across the street from the waterfront and about one mile from the airport. Spaces are small but functional and very tastefully decorated. The welcome is warm, the common spaces... More

We had two rooms here last week for one night and loved it. It's an easy walk to the marina across the street with a great restaurant and an easy walk to the aquarium as well. In the other direction through the neighborhood you can walk to the train and it's a quick trip into the city. Hotel is clean,... More

This wonderful little boutique hotel is one of Copenhagen's hidden jewels. It is close to the airport (5 minutes by taxi and just one stop on the metro), close to the beach (3 minute walk) and with a swag of great restaurants in close proximity. Tine (the owner) greets guests with a welcoming smile and a friendly attitude -she makes... More

Great hotel and fantastic service. The breakfast was superb and the staff went out of their way to look after us, even remembering our son likes apple juice and buying it in specifically for him. We stayed in room 6 and felt the room size was spacious. My only criticism is that the size of the pillows were small, but... More

We stayed for 4 nights as a family of 5 and could not have hoped for a better welcome. The rooms were lovely, clean and fresh and breakfast in the morning was perfect. The owner could not do enough to make our stay more pleasant. There is a lovely sitting area and an honesty bar available which we used for... More

Staying in Amager

Neighborhood Profile
Amager
In the eastern part of this neighbourhood, visitors will discover Amager Strandpark, a beach area which has become increasingly popular. It’s only a 30 minute bicycle ride or a 10 minute Metro trip away from the city center. Only a few hundred yards inland, some of the most creative musicians, artists, and writers in Copenhagen are occupying some of the old storage houses and production facilities. The western part is one of Copenhagen's most rapidly evolving areas, here you’ll find international architecture of the highest rank, the state of the art TV-Byen (the Danish pendant to BBC), a golf course as well as Copenhagen's best (and tiniest) ice bar.
