The hotel is well suited for a short weekend break. It is an leisurely 15 minute walk from Copenhagen Central Train Station, alternatively you can get the 5a bus (runs very frequently to the centre as well as the aquarium) which stops just round the corner. Check in was a quick process and although we had some difficulty getting into... More

This is a hotel perfectly suited for a city-break in Copenhagen. Clean, calm, quite new and well-designed. Check in and out efficient and quick. The 60 EUR paid for a room was fine for such an expensive city. Good on a budget; if more expensive I would look for a more central location. The main downturn is the location. Not... More

Reasonably priced hotels in central Copenhagen are difficult to find. Wakeup Copenhagen was considerably less expensive than any other hotel we considered and is located a short, easy walk to the central train station and Tivoli. It's a slightly longer, but still comfortable and enjoyable walk to the Town Hall and Stroeget. The Metro easily connects the train station the... More

What a lovely hotel for the price we paid! About a ten minute walk from the station it was perfect getting to the airport early in the morning the we needed to leave. Check in and check out was quick and easy. The rooms are really modern and despite being quite small the design of the room makes it feel... More

Cheap (for Denmark!) and cheerful hotel. Pillows are tiny - we asked for an extra pillow and was told it was hotel policy only to give guests one each!! Have never heard anything as ridiculous as this when staying in a hotel before. This really affected my nights sleep and for this reason I would not stay here again.

Dear tintinfan2013, Thank you for your review of our hotel. We are sorry to hear that you didnt get a good night sleep. It is correct that we only have one pillow per guest. We have 510 rooms so it is not possible to have extra pillows for all our guests. We are sorry that this will affect that you... More

This was just a few days business trip to Denmark and was humbled to find my accommodation here. If you have high expectations for a place to stay in copenhagen then this might not be your choice but all the same, to me i would highly recommend Wakeup.

We spent only one night in Copenhagen so that was the perfect solution. The room is quite small but essential: large bed and window, ensuite shower and wc. 10 minutes walk from the central station and city centre. Ideal for short stay.

The hotel is located near Central station so it's easy to get to the center or any other part of the city from there. The room was clean and cozy and it was really quiet. The staff is nice and friendly.

Staying in Inner Vesterbro

Neighborhood Profile
Inner Vesterbro
This neighbourhood is home to Tivoli Gardens, a world famous amusement park and beautiful garden always worth a visit. Just west of Tivoli, you’ll find Copenhagen Central Station, from where you can reach just about every part of Denmark within 5 or 6 hours, or you can reach Copenhagen Airport in less than 15 minutes. Next to the Central Station, you’re in the middle of “old” Vesterbro, where several cultures and hundreds of languages are spoken in an area not more than one square mile. This neighbourhood is considered one of the most trendy places to live in and to visit in Copenhagen. For a real treat, visit Kødbyen ("meat town"), home to several restaurants, cafés and nightclubs, all within a short walk of each other.
