I was staying on weekend in SGL room at the beginning of October 2009. Room was surprising wide and bright, the bed was like a cloud - one of the best hotel beds in last years. Staff was very open, smiling and willing to help, except girls at the breakfast room, who were quiet grumpy and unsatisfied, don't know why,... more

What a brilliant hotel. Very very friendly staff. Nice and big rooms. Perfect restaurant and food. We were there on a oneday trip from Hamburg but extended the visit to three days - we loved the hotel. An extremely positive hotelexperience. more

I have been a couple of times at Britannia on business trips. It is quite clear that the hotel has been renovated recently and the rooms were quite fresh. Some of them are however pretty small (8-10 sqm). Beds are comfy and the bathrooms clean and modern. Breakfast is nice, with a reasonable selection of cold and warm food. The... more

Brilliant hotel. I knew the former hotel Britannia (not good) - Britannia of today (Nov. 2008) were a sublim experience. New rooms - delicate design and nice indeed - new staff in all departments and sublim management. I'll be back. See photos. more

Typical "Lobby Hotel". Nice and inviting lobby. The rest of the hotel is in a worn out 80 kinda style. All that I can live with, The front desk manager's attitude is terrible. Makes John Cleese and fawlty towers look like all saints. more

Stayed at this hotel for one night only, that was enough. Possibly the worst hotel i have ever stayed in. Rooms, toilet and shower were so small. I had a set of earplugs at my bedside and wondered what they would be for. I found out when the drilling and building work started at 07.15. Makes a Travelinn seem like... more

The location of this hotel is great, but the rooms were quite disapointing. They are small with many features (i.e. blinds or curtains on the windows) absent. Only 3 blocks from the train station. Some of the front desk staff were quite unhelpful the monring breakfast (included) as quite good. I would likely stay somewhere else if I come back... more

Stayed with friends for 2 nights to watch the excellent 80s festival at the park 20 minutes walk away. The hotel is a bit dated and needs a bit of a facelift really,£60 per room for 2 twin beds. The room reminded me of my daughters rooms of residence in Norwich! a bit studentist, especially the bed.The room was very warm,no air con,but... more

The hotel in the marketing leaflets in the rooms saus its a 4-star boutique hotel. Does it feel like the claim? No way! When I arrived, the first room was on the main square of the town - likely to be rather noisy on a Saturday night, so I asked for a different room. Didn't have time to check the... more

In February 05, we went to Esbjerg in Denmark on cheap flights just for the weekend not knowing quite what we would find, and although everywhere was shut by mid afternoon on Saturday, the hotel was fantastic and truely excellent value for money. The hotel was right in the town centre and from our 4th floor window it gave a... more
