I stayed in a front room, was very noisy, young cheap pub directly opposite - loud music and people outside smoking . also corridors are noisy, you hear people coming and going. The ameniries for a rather expensive hotel are very basic. more like a motorway budget hotel. I told reception the next morning about the noise and they told... more

Our expectations were high when we arrived at Villa Provence in the city of Århus, Denmark. Perhaps too high ... We had booked one of the more extravagant rooms at around 2000 DKK (approx 250 EUR), which is quite expensive for a town like Århus. Anyway, it would have been ok, if our expectations were fulfilled. It is in a great location 5 mins from the main street but still relatively peaceful. The courtyard is cool and the rooms are basic in a nice Provencale way. The breakfast was great and the staff attentive, However, my main memory is of the bed - wow, this must rank as one of the most comfortable hotel beds in... more

I've stayed in this hotel a couple of times. Perfectly situated for a week-end stay. Lovely staff. Easy access. Parking on property. A picturesque yard which is as charming and beautifully decorated in winter as it is lush and green in the summer. Delicate rooms and a lounge that invites you to a glass of wine in the soft sofa... more

It's a very nice hotel A perfect location, just a five minute walk from the city centre. The staff has been absolutely friendly. The breakfast... it's made expecially for you. A warm and succulent english breakfast cooked when you enter the breakfast room I was in one of the front building rooms, with a four poster bed. The bed was... more

If you stay in the old building it's great. In the new building less charm - but still some. Ask for a room in the old building. Free internet available. more

I like staying in hotels that are not like all other chain hotels. Villa Provence was therefore an easy choice for a single night on a business trip. The place is really nice and cosy. The most interesting rooms are in the front building where all rooms appear to be different and have their own character. If possible, try to... more

This is a charming hotel which we found to have excellent reception staff who were extremely helpful, Sonia in particular, and if it is your first trip to Arhus, you will be assisted by their very detailed recommendations on restaurants, places to see and be in a folder in your room. When we expressed our appreciation of that booklet for... more
