Immediately upon arrival we were greeted by Costas who helped us carry in our bags and take them to our room, then we were invited from dessert and homemade wine next to a fire. The next day Costas drove us to the monasteries and then continued to appear as if summoned and then take us to the next monastery. The... More

After staying just one night at this guesthouse (we wish it had been more), we were already part of this big family. This guesthouse is runned by their owners, who are very polite, helpful and friendly. Dinner is homemade as well as the breakfast. The overall place is clean and tidy. What makes this place special is the people that... More

We have been travelling around Turkey, Italy and Greece for the past couple of months, staying in small family owned hotels and guest houses wherever possible. Much more than any others we have experienced, at Arsenis you are almost made to feel part of the family. Costas and his mother are very welcoming and obviously enjoy spending time with their... Although this hotel was not quite what we expected, it was clean. It is run by a family, Kostas and his parents (who don't speak any English - although this did not stop my 6yo daughter being mesmerized by Dimitri (the father) who was preparing a lamb on a spit for a bus load of Argentinians due to stay that... This hotel is a great value and you can't beat the hospitality that Kostas will show you. It is on a family-owned property, which is a great benefit as we were able to have fresh-picked fruit at dinner and breakfast from the garden and a nice tour of the olive groves. It is a little bit outside of town on... More

The Arsenis was simple and clean on the inside, with lovely balconies with incredible balconies. The owners are very, very friendly. Their home-made food is excellent. The property is located very close to the Meteora monestaries. This tranquil setting is a stark contrast to many of the other hotels in the area, which are packed together along busy streets. We... Positives - the host was very friendly, views great, location was quiet and close to monasteries. Needs improvement - cleanliness, breakfast, room furniture, toilet This is an inexpensive hotel with few amenities - fine for one night stay. On our first night the odours in the hallway, cleanliness of the room, bad eggs and flies at breakfast put us off... More

This place is a gem. It is situated in beautiful countryside 5 minutes drive away from the monasteries. It is a family owned and run place which is a wonderful retreat away from the towns nearby. The owners speak perfect English and are very knowledgeable about sights in the area including marvellous walks very close to the Guesthouse. They serve... More

My favorite thing about this guesthouse is the location.. the owners family is here for generations, and their property is a country setting.. where you can look over the mountains and Meteora rocks, yet in the peace it's nice to hear the bells on the goats or birds singing away in the family olive grove. Kostas is very very helpful... More

I went to Meteora over Easter, and since it was a holiday we were unable to rent a car since all the businesses were closed. The Arsenis family, however, was kind and gracious and helpful enough to shuttle my parents and I, one by one, up to the monasteries on their motorcycles! They also took us, squeezed into their little... More
