Very happy with this hotel the staff could not have been more friendly and helpful. The air conditioning worked well. The location is good , straight down the hill to the centre of town. We had a ground floor room with a shaded patio which was perfect for me. The breakfast was fine fresh melon, cereal, honey, yogart, biscuits and... More

Could not believe this was only 2 star. As far as Greek hotels go, this is at least a 3. Very clean and exceptionally well run with lovely, helpful staff. Air conditioning was superb, rooms cleaned to a very high standard. Lovely pool area with bar. Although only 15 beds, when we stayed, there were few selfish people bagging the... More

Like someone else said below, having stayed in a few other Greek hotels, I'm amazed this was only classed as 2*. But if that means paying 2* prices then I'm more than happy! Its location is perfect, set within the winding streets of Skopelos Town, surrounded by local homes. Turning either way when leaving the hotel it was less than... More

Just retuturned from two weeks at The Hotel Ionia. The hotel is pleasantly situated in the town with views of the harbour, the mountains and the town. There is an absolute peace about the place which is just what the doctor ordered! The room was very comfortable, clean and tidy, the beds were made daily, the towels were changed every... More

I was pleasantly surprised with this hotel as a couple of recent reviews weren't very encouraging. We received a warm welcome from the reception staff on arrival, and throughout our stay found all the staff extremely friendly and helpful. A slight problem with the shower was fixed almost immediately, I was impressed with their efficiency. The rooms were very clean... More

I have recently returned from two weks in Skopelos staying at the Ionia Hotel. The location of the hotel is central and it affords easy access to the harbour frontage. It has a series of inter connecting balconies that feature areas you can sit outside and enjoy a quiet drink , this is apart from each room featuring its own... More

No questioning the lovely friendly staff, the great location and the cleanliness of the hotel, all very, very good. However the are small niggles,we were in room 431 and it was so noisy from 7.30 am,even with the windows closed and a/c on we seemed like we were in the middle of a huge traffic jam. Wi fi is very poor, not in the... More

Just back from a weeks stay at The Ionia & the staff are a credit to the hotel. The hotel is worthy of its two stars or should be a three. The room we had was spotless & cleaned to a high standard every day. Added benefit of a little fridge in the room & air conditioning made our stay perfect.... More

Just returned from a weeks stay at this lovely Hotel. Ideally situated just 5 minutes walk from the sea front of Skopelos Town. and considering it is in the heart of the town it is generally very quiet apart from the Church clock which chimes on the hour. Not a problem for us however. Reasonable size room with both a... More

First the positives - the staff were friendly and helpful and the hotel was clean - but that was it. Our room was shoddy. The shutter didn't work; the socket for holding the key to get electricity was hanging off the wall; there was a bare bulb (missing light shade) over the mirror; cracked tiles etc. But the worst feature...
