We drove to Hydra Port, east of Ermione, and called for a water taxi to pick us up, 35 Euro for 8 people. We loved the Ippokampus as soon as we walked into the courtyard. Voula welcomed us and showed us... more

Delicious yoghurt, honey, olives, lemon jam from the tree in the courtyard and bread made by the owner, Sotiris. This hotel has all the charm of the classic Greek pension and the hospitality of the staff is... more

Based on the generally good reviews on Trip Advisor, and a favourable price quoted by email from Ippokampos Hotel, I was all set to make a booking, But then, out of the blue came a request for the cost of the first night to be paid as a deposit. I had no problems with that, BUT what did disappoint me... more

A reviewer below comments on the varying size of rooms, so let’s start with that. If, like us, your idea of heaven is sipping an ouzo or Metaxa on a terrace (shared, in this case, but neatly segregated by geranium tubs) with a view of one of the most picturesque towns in Greece and the mountains beyond, you will go... more

We chose this hotel based on the opinions found on this website, after researching a number of options. We requested one of the rooms with a terrace, at the top, and we were really disappointed. And we're not normally too fussy, but we did want to get it right, being in desperate need of some rest, privacy and relaxation. As... more

From the first moment we saw the entrance to the hotel until we left, we loved this hotel experience. The setting was beautiful, the staff welcoming and friendly, the breakfast amazing. I highly recommend staying here! more
