Me and my partner were attending a wedding on the island and booked this hotel as it was one suggested by the bride to be. Before arriving we really didn’t know what to expect as we had read a few mixed reviews about the hotel. Having said that we were pleasantly surprised, the hotel itself is a beautiful building with... More

Hotel is a lovely building in the heart of town with a lovely terrace area for breakfasts. This should have been such a lovely hotel trip but it just failed in so many ways. 1 Beware, their on-line booking system seems to be hopelessly slow to update and is not a true indication of room availability. I booked a room... More

It s the largest Hotel in Hydra, situated in the heart of the Town. It 's very close to the Port, to the 3 Museums, to The Cathedral and to all the bars&restaurants and tourist-shops of the Town. There is a very nice planted yard in the front of the building, where you can enjoy your breakfast in the morning,... More

I loved this hotel. Costas and Anthony and their staff were wonderful. This is the best hotel of it's kind I have stayed in. I was made to feel very welcome. The room I was in was furnished with lovely traditional Greek pieces and was spotlessly clean and well cared for. The courtyard where I had breakfast and worked in... More

Very very nice hotel, cosy, central, nice yard, nice room, refurbished bathroom, friendly staff. Breakfast had lots of choices. The main point is the beautiful building, as well as the very good service. I think value for money as compared to other places to stay in Hydra (that I have stayed in)

Management is superb. The property is excellent. The breakfast was the best we had at three venues over 10 days in Greece. We were exceptional pleased with our 5 night stay here and rebooked again next year in May.

Last time I was there was 25 years ago and I was amazed how well they still preserve the unique pieces of furniture, old navigation pieces, the paintings and the huge rooms. The place is a living museum of the history of the island. Very well situated in the only square, you dont have to climb stairs, about 150 m.... More

After two weeks in Greece we stayed in this hotel, this place has potential but it is in desperate need of a lot of work and money to get it there. Dirty rooms, Bathroom was pretty bad, 0530 shower was lukewarm after that very cold. Breakfast wasn't much to talk about, after staying in six other hotels on this trip... More

I spent two nights here with my family of five. We had two rooms next to each other. I made the mistake of reading some other reviews, but I think you need to consider your travel and comfort vantage point. The following facts were true when we stayed: the rooms are not frilly, the wi-fi works best in or near... More

This hotel has great possibilities. Great architecture and lovely antiques. Breakfast was very good. Great location. Our room was filthy. Muddy floor, white goo on tables and in bathroom, dirty glasses with leftover tooth brushing stuff in glasses, rusty fixture in bathroom, visible handprint on wall and just plain dirty. Management stated room had been cleaned that morning. I do... More
