Overall this hotel was great. It allowed to us relax and enjoy Hydra and get adjusted to our greek vacation. The breakfast out on patio area was excellent. Recommend staying here if you are visiting Hydra soon.

This hotel is great for a reasonable price. Walking distance to the port, shops and all cafes. It's quiet, no stairs required to get there, which is important since its uphil and there are no cars. Only donkeys and walking. The hosts are gracious and helpful. Rooms are clean w fridge, if a bit sparse. However the outdoor courtyard for... More

We had a lovely updated room that overlooked the peaceful and beautiful courtyard. Big bright windows, comfortable beds, a large bedroom and a well updated bathroom. The breakfasts absolutely lived up to previous reviews--my husband still talks about them! There really didn't seem to be a shortage of places to stay in Hydra but I would stay here again for... We returned to the Mistral for I think our fourth visit and were not disappointed. Jenny's welcome and Theo's breakfasts remained at the same high level. They were also extremely helpful when travel arrangements were perturbed by end of season gales and the threat of ferry strikes. Oh, and now you can get inroom Wifi! We'll be back.

This hotel is a bit of a hike from the port but worth the effort. We had a comfortable room overlooking the beautiful courtyard and enjoyed our stay here very much. The staff was very friendly and their breakfasts are great.

A friend and I stayed here for three nights in late September and thoroughly enjoyed our visit. Our rooms were on the ground level overlooking the garden/patio. The two rooms were both off the reception area and just across from the kitchen. We had an entry door leading to a small hallway, with our rooms off the hallway. This enabled us... More

Hotel Mistral and the island of Hydra were highlights of our Greek adventure. This hotel has the feel of a charming bed and breakfast, with the amenities and privacy of a larger hotel. The hotel is a short walk from the bustling ferry and water taxi docks, but far enough so that the only sounds that we heard through our... More

The location is an easy walk to the harbour, yet quiet and close to two tavernas where the locals eat. The courtyard garden, full of flowers and aromatic herbs, is a wonderful place to eat their multi-course delicious breakfast and to have coffee, wine or beer in the afternoon. Jenny is so helpful with suggestions for restaurants and daily adventures,... More
