We could not be happier with our stay at Hotel Miranda. The building is beautiful, breakfast in the courtyard delicious and idyllic, and our room in the front of the hotel on the second floor perfect..spotless, roomy, furnished with character, and a gorgeous terrace with view of the harbor. Yannis was more like a friend than an innkeeper. He constantly... more

The staff and location were perfect. They were very helpful and offered an insight to the island that was very generous and sincere. The room was beautiful and the lack of cars on the island made for a wonderful atmosphere to wake up to, instead of car horns and engines we awoke to sounds of birds and the wind bowing... more

The hotel has a very good location. Staff is friendly. Unfortunately, bathroom was old and the room (without view) average. In the morning, we had to ask for hot water! In conclusion, it is acceptable but it is cleary overpriced for that it offers. Unfortunately, I was convinced by other reviews: reviewers have to be objective and differentiate having a... more

My partner and I have just returned from a fantastic 3 night stay at the Miranda Hotel on Hydra. We cannot compliment Yanni and Poppi enough on their friendly service which was both genuine and informative (tips for best tavernas were accurate and much appreciated). The hotel itself is a renovated merchant house typical of the style dating back to... more

Quaint old building means rooms sizes do vary, but most are a generous size. Quiet location but some of the doors are very thin and hence sounds from the corridor do intrude into the room. The roadway from the harbour [with your back to the harbour take the roadway which starts to the left of the square clock tower] is... more

We had a good experience here. Our room was on the top floor with a patio and a view of the harbor. The room was spacious and nicely furnished, with high ceilings. Our host was helpful and solicitous. The garden is nice. We paid 100 euros. We looked at a much smaller room without charm at the Orloff which was... more

The hotel is situated next to Hydra's harbour. It is a fine old building, nice furniture but it urgently needs to be renovated: Bathrooms (plumming etc.) need a little care. The staff was very friendly, the breakfast was sufficient, the garden was lovely. But, I also think it is overpriced for its category and it does not offer a lot... more

I would like to mention my impressions of this hotel which was absolutely terrible. My wife and I were looking for a good hotel in Hydra to pass the weekend. We read the relevant (misleading) trip advisor review and we decided that Miranda Hotel was probably one of the best in town. We therefore proceeded and made a reservation paying... more

Miranda sits just sheltered from the front-line of busy port life. The hotel is surrounded by an escher optic of lanes winding past a garden shrine under an olive tree that must have seen the 1821 Revolution. A chignoned Papa in shades passes the purple vines of Miranda's whitewashed walls. Within, Yanni the manager and Miranda herself are sweeping the... more
