We were traveling for over 3 weeks, staying in various places throughout Greece and the Middle East, and this hotel stands out from the rest. First off people complain it looks old, frankly I thought it was really nice and looked it as though it had been updated since it was built in the 70's. The most stellar part of... More

It is a good hotel for the price. It does not look excellent from the outside but inside is nice and comfy. Rooms are old fashioned and clean. Rooms have fridge, toiletries. staff is really helpful. Nice breakfast. Would come back we recommend it.

I was in this hotel for a night during a self guided tour in the wonderful Greece. The hotel is in a strategic position in the city of Sparta, easy to reach by car. The hotel is old but full optional and the staff is great and welcoming, the breakfast is nice. It is a very good choice when visiting... More

I first stayed at the Dioscouri when it was new, in 1977, and have stayed there at least a dozen times since. It had some difficult years, but it was a pleasure in late October to see that it is coming back into its own. As a family group, we were given rooms at the end of a hallway that... More

they started with a good base for a hotel, but it must have been completed in the '70's. The rooms are dated, but very clean. I didn't want to like this hotel, but it kept on getting better, they fixed the broken bathroom door immediately, and the bathroom was spotlessly clean. The view was good from the balcony, but there are... More

After a long drive through the mountains we arrived at the hotel and from the outside immediately felt the need to find another hotel. It is a ugly concrete building. The reception area is OK and you can relatively easily park in the area. The room was OK, breakfast not what we were used to when visiting other hotels. The... More

The positive is that the rooms are large. Negatives are many. If you arrive at the main bus stop you have a long uphill walk. The smell in the lift was terrible and the bathrooms needs updating .. the window did not lock, the shower holder would not stay up. Breakfast was average .. on one day the served bread... More

A warm and friendly greeting always makes the traveller feel welcome. The Dioscouri staff offer this in bucketfuls. As a solo visitor, I appreciate a smile and recommendations when arriving in a new city. After a long drive, retire to your room with a map- all the interesting sites marked, a cup of tea- unusually for Greece, kettle tea and... More

We got a nice 2 rooms suite with large and clean bathroom and a beatifull view from the balcony. Very good location. The restaurant offered selection of 3-4 dishes for dinner and the breakfast was OK. WiFi only in the lobby. The staff was polite and friendly. Some friends from our 16 people party complained about the room......

Of the 9 hotels that we stayed at during our 3 week trip to Greece, this was by FAR the worst, and the only one that we would not return to. The room stunk of wet dog and old gym socks and we had to leave all the windows open at all times to try and ventilate the room. The... More
