The Petite Planete is an excellent place to stay while visiting Mycenae, and exceeded our expectations of a budget hotel. What makes it stand out is the wonderful friendliness of the hosts and their desire to please. We were shown several rooms so we could decide what would be most comfortable for our family of four (including a 3-yr old... More

Incredible hospitality! We arrived late and the owner stayed and waited for us. Breakfast is one of the best I ever have. Very clean and comfortable room, close to the archeological site. Vasilika gave us a preview of the site so we know we didn't miss the main attractions (e.g. the back gate where Oreste came in to murder Clytemmestra)... More

We suffered because when we stayed there were not enough guests for them to cook dinner so we were dependent on the totally depressing village tavernas (we seemed to be the only people eating in the village that evening) and very few ate lunch at the huge tavernas the numerous coaches no longer seem to stop at. The hotel staff... More

The hospitality of the sisters who run the place is truly exceptional. They make you feel as if you are a guest at their home. The rooms are not luxurious but perfectly adequate and clean and have airconditioning. The pool is very pleasant to cool off after a day of sightseeing. The mother, who is overseeing the kitchen, is a... More

You get the best of what a family-run hotel can offer: exceptional and personal service, local food prepared in the hotel's kitchen, knowledge of the area, and all done by people who appear to be enjoying hosting you. The comments provided by others here say it all, but I must mention the exceptional pool (deeper and longer than all others... More

I cannot say enough about La Petite Planete. It was truly the highlight of our 3-week visit to Greece. This family run hotel exudes warmth and hospitality. The two sisters who run the front desk go out of their way to attend to any need or question you may have. The large pool area is just gorgeous, surrounded by olive... More

Lovely hotel, exceptional warm reception, luscious breakfast (we loved the tomato/feta toast and the greec yoghurt) with endless view on the valley, spacious, quiet room with very good beds, delicious dinner, large swimming pool with view on the mountains. We cannot think of any negative comment. Hope to come back one day.

Our family spent two nights at La Petite Planete and it has been a highlight of our trip to Greece. Vassiliki and Valentina provide a very warm and welcome atmosphere for their stylish and comfortable family run hotel. The beds were the most comfortable we have slept in in Greece. We urge anyone staying there to have dinner at the... More

If you go once you will return back year after year! For the people that love simplicity and find luxury in small details. Quite, cozy, with a huge terrace to enjoy your breakfast or evening coffee. Make sure that you have dinner there, amazing homemade food, house wine of great quality! Family runned hotel, amazing owners, always smiling, willing to... More

Mycenae, the legendary fortress, is a short walk up the road but La Petite Planete is in a legendary class of its own. Everything that others have noted (ie the warm welcome, the high class authentic greek cuisine, wonderful views, stylish dining room) is true but if anything the reality is even better. This charming family go out of their... More
