The ancient city of Mycenae is relatively remote, so we didn't expect much in terms of accommodations. However, we were pleasantly surprised by Hotel Petite Planete. The place is palatial compared to most other inns in the vicinity, and is very well kept. It must be quite busy during the tourist season catering to tour groups. We were there in... More

The Hotel is located very close to Ancient Mycenae. Vassiliki and her family are very welcoming and friendly. The Rooms are clean and basic. There is Air-Con. We had 2 Rooms - a Twin and a Double with fantastic views of the valley. The only negative were the Bathrooms. The one in the Twin room did not have a shower... More

There isn't a great deal to say other than Vassiliki and her family made us feel as welcome as they did last year and the stay was just as good. The food & wine was delicious and the room was comfortable. Thank you so much. You will see us again one day!

We had a truly amazing time at Petite Planete. We went on a Peloponnese road trip and decided we wanted to visit the incredible site of Mycenae. We arrived in Mykines (the village below Mycenae) in the evening and looked for a place to say. Petite Planete caught our eye immediately. It is the at the top of the village... More

We had the good fortune of lunching at La Petite Planete after hiking near Mycenae with Grecopaths. Our hike leader is friendly with the owners, and called to arrange lunch for us (apparently, one need to call in advance as it's not open regularly for lunch). Everything was prepared freshly for us, and we ate on the terrace overlooking the... More

The hotel is perfectly situated a short walk from the ruins of Mycaenae. The staff are really friendly and helpful. The food is really good, both at breakfast (lots of wonderful bread, fruit, yoghurt) and dinner (simple but really interesting). The rooms are simple, clean and well appointed with small balconies with views over the plain. I would highly recommend... More

Everyone loves this charming hotel and it's not hard to see why. Vassiliki and her family are kindness itself, from the moment you walk through the door. A friendly little dog comes to greet you and a cat snoozes contentedly in Reception. Rooms are not 'flash', but ours was large, airy and spacious, with a french window, balcony and magnificent... Staying at this family-run hotel proved to be the highlight of our trip. Vasiliki at the reception and the rest of the family not only are very polite, but also provided us with information about the archaiological site of mycenae. Excellent homemade and traditional breakfast that should not be missed!

Mycenae itself is quite a drab little town, but this hotel is a hidden gem which we highly recommend. The room was a great value and clean and spacious, with a nice balcony to take in a nice view. It is easy driving distance to the ruins. The dog on site is extremely friendly and the owners went far above... More

This eco hotel, like the older Belle Helene in Mykines village, is run by members of the Dassi family who were heroes of the wartime Resistance and friends of Patrick Leigh Fermor. The rooms were lovley with a view over the hills, and the hospitality and generosity were unbelievable. Best of all is the location, just a short walk from... More
