Stunning hotel, helpful staff, clean room. No good views. Lots of lovely food for breakfast. Free toiletries, use of hairdryer, dressing gown & slippers in room. Free tea and coffee making facilities in the room, but weren't topped up when I stayed for 4d but I'm sure you could ask for more. The only downside was that it seemed to... More

I stayed at Grand Hotel Palace, for a night when i attended a seminar in town with a colleague. The first impression of the hotel, is probably excelent. The building looked very nice, and the loby also looked promissing. The staff was polite and fast. We received the card key, and headed for the rooms. One of the two super... More

I was very impressed by this hotel. It may not be in the best location (depending on where you need to be), but it was very nice in every way. The staff was very pleasant and helpful in every way. The hotel was quiet and relaxful and I will stay there again. It is about a 25-30 minute taxi ride... More

We stayed one night at the Grand Hotel Palace , as our flight was diverted due to bad weather at Corfu. We were expecting a glorified hostel, but were all ( 200 of us ) accommodated here. The hotel coped with us excellently, they put on a buffet dinner and got rooms ready with two hours to prepare. The rooms... More

If you look at my review history, I love writing positive reviews. This review frustrates me to write, but it has to be done! If you are a tourist wanting to explore Thessaloniki and have limited time - this is not the hotel for you. I am sure it would be perfect in other scenarios, but we had 24 hours... More

I've been there for 30 days! Got scholarship for learning greek, august 2013. Nice building, parking space, hall, neoclassical. My roommate and I were lucky and got large room, (for people with special needs), others were much smaller. Anyway, dusty heavy curtains, stains on carpeting, dust on furniture. Big bathroom but from 90's it's not 5*. Food was fine, swedish... More

This hotel certainly has a 'grand' look, which fortunately it lives up to. The rooms are large, comfortable, and very well appointed. Staff were helpful and spoke good English. I was initially given a room closest to the road, but after two very noisy nights beforehand in Athens I was worried about noise so asked to be shifted. This was... More

Very beautiful archtecture of the hotel. Looks very smart. It is rated as 5 stars, however, I would estimate it at the level of a good 4 star hotel. Rooms are pleasant, very clean, all necessary amenities, including bath suits and slippers. Location: far from the centre, but there is a direct bus between the hotel and the centre/quai (number... Very nice hotel, a little off the center of town, in a new developing neighbourhood. The facade is very impressive, facing a central yard with a beautiful fountain, illuminated at night. The rooms are spacious and cosy with a nice bathroom and facilities (a bathrobe and slippers are provided). Breakfast and dinner were plentiful and tasty.

We stayed here for 3 nights as part of a tour group. The hotel has a somewhat spectacular look both inside and outside. The rooms were large enough, the service was good, and the location was great. Both the breakfast and dinner were also good. We walk a lot wherever we go and we walked up the waterfront area to... More
