This hotel had Metro renovations going on when we stayed so it was difficult to get in and out of. It is a little walk to the waterside & downtown facilities. The lifts were minute and only 2 people could get in with small luggage. The back rooms were quiet but looked onto backs of concrete apartments.

Insanely mislead on the website.. Newly refurbished-lie..old bed, old carpet, old stained curtains, old everything. Really just yuck and dirty. Air conditioning-not working. Start of summer 35°c heat and it doesn't work. Greeeat, informed the reception that unit was not working. Were told someone would come up and check. Come back from dinner a few hours later. Air conditioning still... More

I've stayed with a group at the Vergina a number of times as it's conveniently located, has friendly staff and plenty of rooms. The decor lacks character and needs considerable refurbishment, but rooms and linen are clean and everything works.

I decided to book a room in this hotel for a weekend trip in Thessaloniki. Some things helped me in making this decision: it’s close to the railway station – walking distance, or if you want, one bus station; it’s close to downtown – 10 or 15 minutes walking; easy connection to public transportation; not very expensive. Our room was... More

We were in Vergina at the and of 2011/12. and we were pleased so we decided to visit it again. Hotel is near the city center and railway station. Across the street are few good restaurants. Hotel itself is a little old, furniture is old but it is clean. Maybe they shold throw out the carpets. Breakfast was ok. For... More

The hotel is situated in a poor neighborhood and is in need of refurbishing and repair. It's about a 15-20 minute walk to the beautiful Aristotle Square or a 5 Euro taxi ride away. The airconditioning/heating didn't work well. The room might be clean but had a musty smell which psychologically puts one off. The staff members were very helpful... More

We have been staying in this hotel whenever we come to Thessaloniki. The front desk personnels have been very nice. But this time, we found the room for us was not prepared. It was short of wash towels and bathroom floor mate. Besides, the wash gel container was empty. But, luckly after we call the front desk, the problem was... More

Good breakfast, but not enough tables for guests. We must wait every morning. Old and unclean carpet on the floor. Old furnitures. Our room was with balcony overlooking the street. It wasn't so noisy and has a partial view to Ano Poli.

Centrally located Hotel, typically beaten down, old and dirty. Dirty carpets, dirty and beaten down bathroom and a pretty cold room. The worst thing however for me was that they gave me (and my family with two young kids) a room next to a ...gang! Literally! They where singing and laughing (obviously ...drunk) all through the night. A dozen calls... More
