After never wanting to go to Halkidiki, my husband persuaded me to go,so with some trepidation i went. We stayed for 2 weeks at the Athanasios in pollichrono, what can i say , we had a fabulous time,the family live all year round on the premises and are really friendly, the beach is bang opposite the hotel and is pretty... Have to disagree with the previous reviewer. We have just returned from a 2 week break at these appts and had a lovely time. We had a ground floor appt for 4 (1 bed) and they seemed better than the usual type that you get in Greece. Very clean, maid came in approx every other day, sheets changed once a... More

We were late booking our Greek holiday this year, so reasonably priced selection was limited. Decided to try halkidiki as it is rated for clear, warm seas and excellent snorkelling.
