We booked to stay at the Ionian Blue whilst in Lefkada - we were due to stay for 5 nights. However, what the hotel failed to let us know was that they were hosting a conference for approx 400 people (the hotel only has 120 rooms). Needless to say we stayed less than 20 minutes - the noise was deafening... more

The staff were excellent but we had to ask for soap on our arrival petty I know but after a long journey essential, further requests for soap were also needed and only one shower cap was provided throughout our two week stay. Being on a hill facing the sea, the hotel has fantastic views across the water to mainland Greece. Nearly all rooms have a sea view and the communal areas are well thought out. The massive infinity swimming pool is one of the key features. I stayed there with my wife and two young children and had a great time relaxing... more

This was a really nice hotel, but it is not five star. It has many lovely features, mainly as a result of some of the design in the communal areas and the setting.
