If you're staying in the North of Cephalonia then try and make an effort to visit this restaurant as it's a delight. A little more expensive than the norm but worth every Euro. It's within a small complex in Tzameralata that's five minutes from Maganos. No menu...no prices...recommend that you drive down during the day and book. Great views over... More

This place has it all: stunning views of the Ionian Sea, clean apartments and cottages, a lovely hospitable family to run this small village and excellent organic food from a wood oven. Our family of 4 are staying here as write this, 2 adults and 2 small children. We have the 'old' cottage, which was recently renovated, at our disposal.... More

We came here on a recommendation from a friend in Athens. We were told it was excellent, and it didn't disappoint. The food was delicious and most of the ingredients are organically-grown in the owner's allotment. Everything we had was absolutely authentic good Greek cooking and delicious: simple but with great tastes. The family who run the place are all... More

we visited the Ranzo Ionio restaurant again this year. The view of sunset is simply stunning and the traditional simple greek food is great, cooked over the grill or in a wood fired oven. we had starters, grilled fish or meat, sesert and wine for four for 75€. Pleasant welcoming staff, best to book, or at least call ahead, as... More

This restaurant set amongst the quaint apartments that are part of the small complex has a stunning view. Sunsets can be glorious. The family run restaurant offers a few authentic Greek dishes every night (closed Monday when we were there). cooked in a traditional oven. Many of the vegetables are grown in garden behind and are delicious. When we were... More

Having had such a great stay in May 2014, we came back for 2 weeks in September! We loved Ranzo. The family are so welcoming, the area so tranquil. As always the food cooked by Stella was just wonderful and you are made to feel part of the family. A real gem of a place with lovely walks and beaches... More

We didn't stay in the Ranzo accommodation, but just up the road in Kosta's House - all of a 3 minute walk down to the restaurant here. There is no official menu - you are just told what is good today for starters and main courses. We had Greek salad, okra, stuffed tomatoes and beef stifado. All were fantastic, tasty... More

An amazing stay in one of the two cottages. Well fitted out and a view to match any on the island. Why travel elsewhere for the sun set when you can have it here with excellent Greek food and amazing and friendly service. Great value for money as the food is up to some the Fiscardo standard and beyond -... More

If you're looking for a place where the Greeks go for dinner, this it it. Simple tasty organic food, prepared in a wood oven. Don't come any earlier than 20.00 PM, as you will be sitting by yourself. The Greeks arrive only after sunset. There is no menu but always a choice of 5 or 6 dishes. We had the... More
