It's centrally located, and while the building isn't in the best condition, my room was clean, quiet, well-maintained. Fairly standard for the price. Although the staff don't speak more than a handful of words of English between them, they're polite and friendly. The breakfast though - absolutely outstanding. Choices of cereals, cold meat, cheese, spreads, various kinds of breads and... More

We had not made an online booking so we opted for cash payment. The owner of the hotel made us pay more than the price that the hostess at the check-in gave us. The worst part is that he started shouting and cursing in Greek, (no-one could speak English and it was very difficult to communicate with anyone...) so we... More

At first site walking into the hotel rooms, they seem luxurious; the bed, the bathroom. Taking a better look you see that the towels are worn out and the bathrobes are dirty (definitely been used and not washed). There was no hot water in the morning in order to shower and although breakfast is served in a lovely café next... More

Stayed for 2 nights. Perfect location, helpfull receptionists and really clean rooms. More than enough towels in the bath. The recent refurbishment is a plus. The parking space facility was a pleasant surprise. Lovely breakfast at the patisserie on the ground level (by the way, don't you dare miss their ice cream!) with the ammount and type of coffee anyone... More

The hotel was in a good position, the girl was very helpful on the desk and the breakfast was very good with lots of choice. The room was kept very clean for us. The private parking was a big bonus in the centre of the city. .But our room had no view, the shutter would not close and the wifi... More

Stayed here for one night, from a great deal I got through Expedia. ROOMS - modern decor, very clean, nice bathroom. Also had access to a balcony, but it offered little privacy from other guests. LOCATION - right on one of the major avenues, across museums and nearby to many restaurants, cafes and stores. SERVICE - the young lady who... More

Handy position opposite clock tower in centre of town.quite noisy in the morning with clock bells chiming, hedge trimmers buzzing and a noisy central square opposite. Staff not terribly friendly and only Greek spoken which made communication difficult. They have done well with the room refurbishments - jacuzzi bath is a nice touch but beware the usual flooding issues when letting... More

Although this hotel is in the busy city it offers such a lot to travellers. There is free wifi, free underground parking just across the road and the breakfast is excellent served in the adjoining Cafe/Patisserie, that is accessed direct from the hotel. The rooms were modern and nicely furnished with modern bathrooms ensuite. The views were not great, but... More

Hotel Bretania is maybe the most historical city hotel in Epirus. Its main advantage is the pastry shop in the ground floor of the hotel. There are delicious cakes, wifi, and very friendly personnel. It was an old Ottoman builiding and now a central hotel. Worth visiting it.

i couldn't agree more with the title in German "with only 2 star?". It certainly worths more. Pros : located in the centre of the city but with free parking in the nearby central underground parking area, free wifi, excellent breakfast buffet with a variety of choices, rooms newly redecorated and modern furnished (just like the photos at Booking). Cons:... More
