We have stayed at THOLARIA nearly for a week. The stay was simply magnificent in every way. The suite was beautifully arranged and decorated in perfect harmony with the unique unrestricted view to the Aegean sea and the Castle of Chora of Astypalaia. Its location is perfect as it is just 5 min on foot to Chora. The stuff is... More

Both my partner and I have travelled to several of the Greek islands over the years but somehow Astypalaia ws off our radar. Our only regret is that we did not discover this gem sooner. Set in the far southeast of the Dodecanese,t this is the island that time forgot, Although we chose to visit in mid-September thus avoiding crowds,... More

Although a frequent visitor to the Greek islands, this was my first visit to Astypalia, and I had researched where to stay on Trip Advisor carefully before making my choice. This wonderful hotel deserves every accolade it receives. We have had the most enjoyable experience here. The hotel is the perfect size - big enough to meet new acquaintances over... More

We have been for the first time in Astypalea during the first two weeks of September 2014. We were in Psili Vigla, a very nice two floors maisonnette, with a view on the Chora and on the wonderful and quiet sea. The maisonnette has got all the necessary to prepare meals (that you can have on the terrace) and it... More

Tholaria was a friendly, family-run hotel with excellent facilities and service, especially for a smaller, less frequented Greek island like Astypalaia. The rooms were charming with original décor and were always cleaned promptly. The staff, in particular Litsa, was very helpful and attentive and went out of the way to provide recommendations for the best beaches, restaurants, and other activities.... More

An absolute jem. I wouldn't go as far as saying it is the best hotel in Greece - but for Astypalaia it is surely one of the best, if not the best. Chora is a nice walk away, so is Livadia beach down the hill (10 minutes down, 20 minutes up), which also has a number of good restaurants. Chora... More

"I heart Tholaria" What more can I add that the other reviewers haven't already mentioned? From the bright and charming greeting with Mike and Litsa at the airport, until our drop-off, ten blissful nights later, my wife, two young kids and myself had a great holiday. It's not easy to get to Astypalaia, but the warm welcome and comfort that... More

I would highly recommend this hotel! It is close to the Chora of Astupalaia. Our room (studio Htenia) was perfectly decorated with a great view of the sea. The bed was really comfortable. The breakfast was great too, everything was homemade. The owners are very friendly and helpful. We would definitely come back to this boutique hotel.

The Tholaria is a beautiful hotel. We stayed in the Asvestoti Family Suite. This hotel is beautifully decorated with breathtaking views. The pool is well maintained and the hotel is close to the main square. Breakfast every morning was delicious thanks to Litsa's cooking. Thanks Mike, Litsa, Yiannis for your friendly hospitality and not to forget Nadia the housekeeper who... More
