Very good hotel, bar and restaurant, it is on the quieter side of the town, next to the beach. When we stayed there the weather was poor so we hired a car and travelled south to some very nice beaches. The hotel staff (particully the Barman) where very helpful in the advise of places to visit. What a fantastic place to stay. Me and my husband stayed for one week during April 08 in a sea view room. All you could hear was the sea it was amazing. We bought a two-week vacation package from Neckermann who booked non sea view rooms for us in Hotel Philoxenia. This part of the Philoxenia hotel was in such a bad condition that they did not event open it. This building faced the busy main road - very very close to it. The Petradi is a gorgeous place- right on the seafront with private access beach and wonderful views of the famous Venitian Fortress. Is it not along Rethymnon's main stretch of hotels and bars and therfore feels quite exclusive and private. On one side of the apartments is a busy road so a sea view room is a MUST HAVE.
