When I chose a hotel for my vacation a few months ago, Astali was one of options. Although it is a two star hotel and the price wasn't high, I've found very nice comments about it, and now I may say that all of them are true :) The hotel is much more above expectations. It has everything that you... More

What an amazing hotel, the owners to the staff were just so accommodating nothing was to much trouble, they made a two week holiday just perfect. Having been to many Greek islands over the years the accommodation here was pristine, towels and bedding changed everyday . The breakfasts were delicious with a good variety to sustain you until lunch. This... More

We stayed at the Astali hotel for 1 week at the end of June. We e-mailed the hotel direct and asked if possible could we have a room on the top floor, they replied immediately, and we got what we asked for no problem. We could not fault the hotel or the staff, it is kept spotlessy clean, all the... More

We have just returned from another holiday at the Astali Hotel. You could not ask for anything better, spotlessly clean, centrally located, handy for the beach, restaurants and shops. The family are so friendly and helpful and there is always somebody on hand to help with any queries. We would never think of visiting Crete and staying anywhere but the... More

We consider ourselves very fortunate to have stayed at Astali when we first visited Rethymno a decade ago - we have been coming back as often as we can over the years, when we want to relax and recharge our batteries. Small and simple, this hotel is run by the family/owners with great attention to detail and much personal warmth.... More

Stayed for 14 nights. Family run hotel who display favouritism and prefer older guests, as opposed to younger ones. Some family members were nicer than others. The breakfast was the biggest disappointment and we wish we had gone self-catering somewhere else. Breakfast was completely inadequate: tinned sliced peaches, bitter Greek yoghurt, very cheap watermelon, stale cereals in silly dispensers. The... More

We have just come back from spending 2 weeks at the Astali. This was our first visit to Rhethymnon and we chose it for it's position, a few minutes from the beach and a short stroll to the old town and we were very pleased with our choice. It's a family run hotel and there is always someone around the... More
