My husband and I have just returned from a week at the Porto Rethymno Hotel and it was amazing. The Room: Standard Double. This hotel is listed as a 5* Hotel, please remember that this is a Greek 5* and not an English one! Having said this we had no complaints regarding the week we were there. The rooms, although... more

We have recently returned from our fourth stay at this hotel, and thoroughly recommend it. The Porto is a very well run and maintained hotel in a lovely beach front location. The rooms are spacious and always clean, food in both restaurants is excellent and the very friendly and ever helpfull staff make this hotel a joy to stay in,... more

This was the second time we stayed at this hotel, and were not disappointed. Hotel is fantastic with a great team of staff who are very friendly, No complaints with bedroom space or bathroom and has added extras such as bathrobes, slippers and beach towels. Sun beds on the beach are free of charge and you can change your beach... more

Very attractive hotel with good food but drinks were very expensive. Our room was at the rear of the hotel with a view of the flats opposite but all the best rooms were at the front overlooking the sea. The hotel was dominated by german guests and from appearances they seem to return each year as the staff were very... more

From the moment we walked into the hotel, we were made to feel welcome. After an eight hour trip due to a delay, we were presented with cool juice whilst we registered. The hotel facilities are plentiful and modern, but it is the staff who make the difference. From the restaurant to the cleaners, every member of staff was friendly... more

Amazing- is what I would describe this hotel, the staff and service are of a very high standard and the people are genuinely lovely. that last review stating that you are greeted with a handshake before entering the main restaurant is purely out of politeness and if they have a problem with that -go wash your hands or go to... more

My Husband & I have just returned from this hotel and before we went I did look on Trip Advisor to see what people had been saying. What we weren't prepared for is how busy the road is that separates the hotel from the beach. It's a nightmare to cross at any time of day and the noise of the... more

I have just returned with my boyfriend from spending a week at the Porto Rethymnon and wish I had booked for longer. From start to finish this holiday was amazing. Nothing is too much trouble for the plentiful staff - they even take your cases up to the room on arrival and take them directly to the coach on departure.... more

Dawn and Tony (Rochester, Kent) My husband and I have just returned from a lovely weeks holiday at a very customer friendly hotel. This was our 3rd visit to this hotel, and we were extremely pleased to find that the standards were still excellent even though the management had changed since our last visit in 2006. It was nice to... more

Me & my husband have just returned after a weeks stay. We found the staff to be extremely helpful and friendly. We stayed in room 203 which had a superb side sea view. There is a lovely sandy beach opposite the hotel, where the sun loungers are free for guests. Also enclosed pool which is very sheltered but the sun... more
