A decent hotel right near the old town, best part of Rethymnon. Perfect location for both the beach and the old part. Nice view over the sea, the Fortezza and the marina. Cleaning and towel changing daily. Good furnishings although the bath could have been bigger and better fitted (especially on the shower side). It shares a private beach (with... More

A professinally run hotel in the centre of town. Clean, efficient. Nice rooms, nothing to complain about at all. Next time I'm in town I'll stay here again, for the price it is hard to beat. I was there in the carneval season, and the place was really well set up for this.

Had to stay for one night before I travel back to Irakleion, woke up from the noise of cleaners cleaning other rooms around the floor. It was as if they were in our own room, you could hear everything. Reception demanded to get fully pre-paid at 4am in the morning and not at check out -not very polite to make... More

After having visited Rethymnon 23 times we decided to choose this hotel thanks to its location. This was one of the best decisions ever made. It situates just in the middle, some hundred meters from the beach and on the other hand approx. same distance from the old town where most of the restaurants are. After a long day and... More

Lovely hotel and excellent location close to the beach and to the old town with beautiful views from all the rooms. Friendly staff, very helpful, rooms are comfortable. All very clean, refurbishment was ongoing so some disruption to the space available for breakfast and dinner, but once the weather is more reliable, there is a lovely area outside. Our children... I think this place may have had a re-furb since some of the earlier reviews. It now has a pool (small but clean). Well designed building in a really good location - beach and Old Town both very close. . Staff friendly and helpful. Room was not big, but clean and comfortable, serviced every day with a great balcony. Unlike... More

Good hotel, excellent location. Clean, big enough and comfortable rooms, but a bit noisy in the evening, because you are in the city centre. Breakfast was usual, but tasty. To have dinner you should go to Kriti Beach (about 150 metres to the east). Food was super! Really. In my opinion, Kyma could be 4 stars.

What can I say. Everything was dirty. The room was covered with dust, the bathroom had black mould around the shower, urine on and around the toilet seat from previous clients. Everything looked so disgusting I couldn't stay there one more minute .

We stayed there for 7 nights but I wished we stayed more... It is a nice hotel, located in the heart of the city of Rethymno, right by the beach, near all the restaurants, the old town, the stores... the room was quite big and cosy, very clean and with good ac, but the main attraction of it was the... I got a single room for two nights. The furniture is old, not so clean, nothing special in the decoration, noise from the street. The position is good but it is not worth it.

Since the last reviews, Kyma Beach has changed. The hotel was renovated, during winter 2007/8 and now the hotel is "new" again. More
